❤️🛻 Let’s Fill the Ford! 🛻❤️
We’re proud to support the Woodford Food Pantry with the 2026 Fill the Ford Food Drive! From September 15–25, we’re collecting non-expired food items to help local families throughout the holidays and into winter.
If you’re able, clean out your pantry, pick up a few extra items, or take advantage of the 10 for $10 specials at the store—and bring your donations to our showroom anytime Monday–Saturday, 9 AM–5 PM.
Every can, box, and bag makes a difference. Let’s come together and help fill the Ford for our neighbors in need! 💙💛

The Food Pantry would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to Seven Stones Farm, especially Andy Herting, Horticulture Manager, and Jeremy Dotson, Farm Manager, for their incredibly generous donation of over 700 pounds of fresh cucumbers! 🥒🥒🥒
Your generosity will help provide fresh, nutritious food to so many families in our community. We truly appreciate all the hard work and care that went into growing and donating this amazing harvest.
And let’s just say… you sure know how to grow cucumbers! 😂🥒

Honoring “Squirrel” 🐿️
What an incredible day at the first-ever car show put on by Kelly Carl, held in honor of our greatly missed President, “Squirrel”! 🐿️❤️
It was truly an awesome event filled with beautiful cars, great people, and wonderful memories. We are so proud to announce that this car show will become an annual event in Squirrel’s honor.
Even more special, all proceeds were graciously donated to the Woodford County Food Pantry to help support those in need in our community.
A huge thank-you to Kelly Carl, everyone who helped make the event possible, all the participants and attendees, and everyone who donated. Your generosity and support made this first car show one to remember.
Here’s to keeping Squirrel’s memory alive and making a difference in our community for years to come! 🐿️❤️🚗

The Woodford County Food Pantry is honored to be the beneficiary of the 1st Annual Loren "Squirrel" Carl Car Show, and we invite our entire Woodford County community to come out for an evening of fun while supporting local families facing food insecurity.

HONORABLE ORDER OF KENTUCKY COLONELS AWARD 318 GRANTS TOTALING $2.6 MILLION

FOOD PANTRY FOR WOODFORD COUNTY AN HONORED 2026 RECIPIENT

VERSAILLES, KY – Food Pantry for Woodford County Inc. is proud to announce it received a grant from the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels (HOKC) in the amount of 7799.88 to purchase to purpose our milk and eggs for the next 6 months.

The Food Pantry of Woodford County serves 27,000 citizens by fighting hunger and serving our most vulnerable.

HOKC awarded $2.6 million in grants supporting 318 non-profits, impacting more than 4 million Kentuckians. Grants are made possible through donations from Kentucky Colonels from throughout the Commonwealth and around the world who choose to exercise the honor of being named a Kentucky Colonel in a meaningful way.

According to Executive Director Sherry Crose “It is the Honorable Order’s purpose to strengthen the lives of Kentuckians, and we do that through this grant program, called the Good Works Program. We are grateful for the contributions from Kentucky Colonels to this program and together we can help Kentucky nonprofits with their mission to enrich and reinforce the lives of Kentucky residents.

About the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels
The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels is a 501(c) (3) entity dedicated to supporting charitable activities throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The organization is governed by an all-volunteer Board of Trustees. Since 1951, the organization has pursued its mission through annual grants totaling $75 million to more than 1,700 nonprofits. The “Kentucky Colonel” commission is an honorary title granted by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Contributions made by those honored with the title, goes to the grant program and Colonels know that each grant is thoroughly vetted by the trustees and staff. What an amazing time we had volunteering at Eckert's 5K Donut Dash! 🍩🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
With more than 300 participants joining the race on Father's Day, it was a fantastic event filled with energy, community spirit, and fun.
We want to extend a special thank you to our incredible Food Pantry volunteers who showed up bright and early that morning. Your hard work, dedication, and willingness to help were instrumental in getting everything organized and ensuring the runners were ready to go. You are simply awesome, and we are so grateful for each of you!
We also want to express our sincere appreciation to Eckert's for selecting the Food Pantry as the beneficiary of this event. Your generosity helps us continue our mission of fighting hunger and serving families throughout our community. Opportunities like this make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.
