A special THANK YOU to our amazing Woodford County volunteers who came out to receive, unload, and organize this food so it can get where it’s needed most. Your time, hard work, and willingness to serve make such a meaningful difference in our community!
This generous donation of approximately 7,500–8,000 pounds of food will help us continue supporting individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community. We are so thankful for the partnerships, generosity, and helping hands that make this work possible.

🦃 HOLIDAY TURKEY FOOD DRIVE 🦃
This holiday season, let’s come together to make sure families in Woodford County have a turkey on their table for Thanksgiving and Christmas! ❤️
The Food Pantry for Woodford County, Inc. purchases turkeys for its clients each year. Last year, our community’s turkey drive was a tremendous success and saved the Pantry $12,000! This year, we’re asking our neighbors to help us do it again. 🙌
📅 Donations begin in October
🦃 How to Donate:
Purchase a turkey and bring it to the Food Pantry Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m.
📞 Need a different drop-off time? Call 859-682-9989 to arrange a special time.
When you donate, please provide:

This helps us keep track of donations and determine how many more turkeys we need to purchase so that each family can receive one for both holidays.
❤️ All food stays right here in Woodford County. The Pantry serves more than 240 individuals each month, with an estimated 700 individuals receiving assistance each month.
Every turkey makes a difference. Let’s fill the tables of our neighbors with a little extra holiday hope and kindness. 🦃❤️

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful community, Rockers Little League, and all of our amazing volunteers for helping make the 2026 Annual Food Drive for the Food Pantry of Woodford County a tremendous success! ❤️
Thanks to your generosity, we collected 3,021 pounds of food and $1,810 in monetary donations! 🙌
Every donation will help us restock our shelves and provide support to families in need as we head into the holiday months.
We are so grateful for everyone who donated, volunteered, spread the word, and helped make this possible. Our community continues to show just how much we can accomplish when we come together!

In honor of POW/MIA Recognition Day The Food Pantry for Woodford is showing its support and set America’s white table symbolizing the frailty of one prisoners, alone. Honoring those that are missing from our ranks.

We remember those who are missing.

We honor their sacrifice.

And we remember the families who have carried their absence.

America’s White Table
Each part of the table has a meaning:
• The small, round table represents the frailty and vulnerability of one individual, alone and separated from loved ones.
• The empty chair represents the missingperson who cannot be with us.
• The white tablecloth symbolizes the purity of their intentions and the sacrifices they made.
• The single place setting reminds us thatthere is only one missing from the table, even though many people feel their absence.
• The lemon slice represents their bitter fateand the uncertainty surrounding their absence.
• The salt represents the tears of theirfamilies and loved ones.
• The inverted glass symbolizes that the missingperson cannot share a toast or join us.
• The candle represents hope that theywill return home.
• The red rose, often tied with a ribbon, represents the families and loved ones who keep faith and remember them.
• The red ribbon symbolizes our continueddetermination to account for and rememberthose who are missing.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Candy Rollins and American Legion Post 67 for hosting the 2nd Annual Roper’s Romp in honor and loving memory of Loren “Squirrel” Carl. ❤️
Your generosity and dedication made this event a wonderful success. Together, you raised $457.00 and collected an incredible 104 pounds of food to help those in need.
We are so grateful for everyone who came out, donated, participated, and helped make this special event possible. Loren’s memory continues to make a difference through the kindness and generosity of our community.
Thank you, Candy Rollins and American Legion Post 67, for keeping Loren’s spirit alive and turning his memory into something that gives back to others. 🐿️❤️
