FarmHouse Foundation of Kentucky, Inc.

FarmHouse Foundation of Kentucky, Inc. FarmHouse Foundation of Kentucky, Inc. was established on November 20, 1976 as the not-for-profit, 501(c )(3) fund-raising arm.. come about? to be established.

How did FarmHouse Foundation of Kentucky, Inc. To focus attention on the future growth and expansion of the organization a "Ten-Dollar Club" savings fund was initiated in the fall of 1965 for the Kentucky FarmHouse Chapter. This program encouraged alumni to contribute at least ten dollars per year to a fund to be used for either emergency maintenance needs of the house or as seed money for the fut

ure purchase of another house. Kenneth Overhults took the leadership on this project. The experience of the "Ten Dollar Club" convinced some that there could be a broader base of financial support for programs within the chapter. During the seven years the program was active, approximately 35 members were faithful in making their pledges each year. In 1975, the groundwork was laid for the FarmHouse Foundation of Kentucky, Inc. Kenneth Overhults, with the help of Damon Talley, established this non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to providing educational support to the chapter and its individual members. Other who have served and assisted with development of the foundation included alumni James Gooch, Mickey Miller, Bill Moody, John Reynolds, Stanley Wall, and William Wood. Many alumni and friends have contributed to these efforts since its inception.
