A heartfelt thank you to all of the VCPAAA volunteers who worked so hard to make our benefit auction this past Saturday a success! Your time, dedication, and willingness to help were greatly appreciated. This event could not have been accomplished without the hard work and support of everyone involved.

We would also like to extend a very special thank you to Rob and Missy Maclin with Merefield Farm. Not only did they generously provide the beautiful event space for our auction, but they also donated an incredible wedding package for us to auction off.

We would also like to thank everyone who attended, bid on items, made donations, and supported the VCPAAA. Your generosity and participation helped make the evening such a success.

We are truly grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible. Thank you for supporting the VCPAAA and our mission!

On Tuesday, February 24th, the Versailles Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association held a Master Class on Child Trafficking & Exploitation. The room was full. (event link: https://fb.me/e/1MeMYKyGHn )
⬇️THIS REEL (the map) illustrates the sheer volume of offenders. What it doesn’t reflect is the TIME & Dedication it takes to gather evidence and work through the court system, which was reiterated by those whose mission is to prosecute child groomers and molesters.
Cases can take YEARS, and most police agencies have 2-3 detectives dedicated to hunting down offenders, who operate across jurisdictions (and state lines).
The class brought awareness to Child Trafficking & Exploitation, because as it happens in EVERY community regardless of socio-economic status, sadly running in families generation-to-generation, according to a retired Lexington Metro police officer, Ricky Lynn.
However, there is hope. The founders of Redeeming Hope (a nonprofit in Berea, Kentucky) spoke at the class and are in the process of building a home for girls to provide shelter, security, and (most importantly) HOPE to move forward with their lives.
They expect to be at capacity when their doors open and hope to inspire other communities to develop satellite homes, because the need is greater than most people realize.
Statistics provided indicate 1:4 girls and 1:13 boys experience child exploitation, over “vulnerabilities” ranging from food, shelter, to sexual manipulation or leverage.
Sooo much attention has been paid to the Epstein files, but the reality is… it’s more common than politicians & celebrities.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤?
Redeeming Hope (link above) is actively fundraising to complete their build. If you feel so inclined, visit their page.
Get informed and involved in local/state politics. Many states are increasing penalties for groomers, abusers, and pedophiles.
MOST importantly, see something… say something.
