Registration: Moniteau 4-H Lego Robotics Session
Dates: June 20th & June 27th 10:00 am-12:00 pm
Location: LabSpace Robotics, Jefferson City
What we’ll be doing
Build & Program: Students will work together to build a custom robot and learn the logic behind the code to make it move, turn, and react.
The Challenges: We’ll put those robots to the test with some fun "missions" and obstacle courses. We'll explore how sensors can make our robots more capable.
Real-World Tech: It’s not just about toys; we’ll spend time looking at how and why robots are used in the real world.
Important Details
Family Participation: Since robotics can sometimes be a "three-handed" job, we ask that our 8-year-old builders bring a hands-on adult with them to help navigate the building steps.

What a great learning experience at the Moniteau County Progressive Ag Safety Day held by MU Extension! Fifth grade students from California Middle School learned about drones, water safety, healthy habits, ATV safety, the effects of sound levels on your hearing, and the importance of safety concerns in many environments. Check out these pictures of students learning about proper ATV gear, drone safety, watching the effects of electric lines coming into contact with different objects and so much more. Did you know to stay inside your vehicle if your car crashes and comes into contact with a power line? These kids do! Thank you to all our presenters for helping students become more aware of safety issues and their surroundings!

Thank you to California Tractor Supply for supporting Moniteau County 4-H during the Tractor Supply Campaign that ended this past Sunday. Several of our members from the Twin City 4-H Club took time out to greet the public during this campaign. They are some of the 4-H members that have received funding for 4-H camp from Paper Clover funds. Thank you to everyone who took time out to visit with them and thank you for all of the donations that continue to go to our county program through this campaign! Our 4-H members appreciate your generosity!
