Congratulations to these awesome gymnasts (they are also members of our Shining Star Farm team)!
Today is the first of our Meet Team Kentucky series leading up to the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games.
We start with Artistic Gymnastics. Did you know that Kentucky Gymnasts have won 76 USA Games medals?!?! Every member of our gymnastics delegation is a USA Games veteran.
Racheal Connor of Versailles is making her second USA Games trip. In 2022 in Orlando, she won two silver medals and one gold, including the all-around. She also competes in equestrian and has competed in soccer and cheerleading.
Lee Dockins of Russellville will be competing at her fifth USA Games. She is the most decorated Special Olympics Kentucky athlete in history, having won 20 USA Games medals, including two all-around golds. She has also won 22 medals in five trips to the Special Olympics World Games. Her leotard from the 2007 World Games in China was displayed at the Smithsonian.
Aliya White of Paris is headed to her third USA Games. She claimed nine medals in her first two trips, including four golds. She won the all-around gold in her division in 2022.
They are coached by Mary Fehrenbach of Versailles, who has been the Team Kentucky head gymnastics coach for all six USA Games. The 2011 Special Olympics North America Coach of the year, Fehrenbach has coached Special Olympics for 32 years, first in Virginia and then Kentucky. She has also coached at six Special Olympics World Games.
