Hello, King's Way Performing Arts families,
I hope your summer has been filled with joy and fun, but if like many of us, your summer did not go as planned, I pray you sensed God's presence and peace.
This summer has been a refining time for myself and my family, as we are in a season of many large transitions. I say all this to provide some context for the announcement that King's Way Performing Arts will be taking a hiatus for the Fall 2024 season. In practical terms, I will not be offering any evening dance or theater classes this semester. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THEATER which will remain a homeschool "club" offered to both students and non-students of King's Way Cooperative School on Wednesday afternoons 1pm-2:30pm.
I will send a separate email tomorrow with details about how to enroll in the theater club. I would love to see some of my homeschool dancers try it out - I think you'll love it! (and then I'll still get to see you 😉) I highly recommend registering as soon as possible because spots are limited and there is typically a waitlist.
To say this has been a difficult decision is an understatement, and is not one I took lightly. Each of your children means more to me than I can express and I will miss my weekly time with them immensely. Many factors went into this decision, but the ultimate determining factor was sensing a need to prioritize my family differently in this season.
I know this is unexpected and disappointing. I want to emphasize that this is not necessarily a permanent decision. I plan to re-evaluate as next semester approaches. I have a lot of ideas for ways we can keep creating together in the meantime- so keep posted! Thank you so much for your continued support and understanding.
Love always,
Ms. Shaylyn
