As everone knows, the Verona Community Food Pantry is about providing food to those in need that live in Augusta County, and the cities of Waynesboro and Staunton. However, the next time you are at the Pantry, please check out our recently updated free book section/ library.
Thanks to Maria, one of our volunteers, who has a strong interest in making books available to children, and to all of our volunteers who donated books and materials, we now have an updated library of children and adult books. So, the next time you are at the Pantry, let your children enjoy exploring the various children’s books we have or better yet join them and find a fun mystery, thriller or pleasing novel for yourself.
The Pantry is open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9 to 11 and Tuesday nights from 4:30 to 5:45. If your family is food insecure, please come to the Pantry. We are a self-serv style Pantry that is stocked with food and staples, and you walk up and down the aisles and select
the food items that you need, based on availability.
Please share this mesaage with friends, family and neighbors that maybe food insecure. Thanks you

A big thank you to the Kokosing Construction Company, Inc., located in Fredericktown, Ohio, and their employees for holding a Food Drive for the Pantry. We received 186 pounds of food and a check in the amount of $1,617 to buy even more food for our patrons.

Last month we provided food to over 900 families and our numbers continue to grow. Donations from companies like Kokosing Construction, and their employees, helps us meet the growing needs of our community.

Thank you everyone for supporting our efforts in the community.
