Share Winter Foundation Share Winter is working to improve the lives, health, and fitness of youth through winter sports. Help us share winter with 100,000 youth by 2028.

Share Winter Foundation (formerly National Winter Sports Education Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to improve the lives, health, and fitness of youth through winter sports. We are a grantmaking organization that works closely with our grantees to build efficient, effective, and sustainable winter sports programs for youth ages 5-18. We're on track to fund 100,000 youth in Learn To Ski

and Snowboard Programs across the United States by 2028. Just imagine, one season could change the lives of 100,000 youth - decreasing childhood obesity rates, increasing physical activity, and opening up an whole new world of fitness. Winter is for everyone.

At Winter4Kids, we know that access changes lives.

For many young people, a first day on snow becomes much more than learning to ski or snowboard. It becomes an opportunity to build confidence, overcome challenges, and discover what they're capable of.

Maybe this wasn’t the “best” winter.

But for thousands of kids across the country, it was the winter they got on snow for the first time. Learned to link turns. Became skiers and riders. Fell in love with our favorite sports. To us, that’s the “best” part of any winter.

69 community partners running programs. 90+ mountains and trails opening their doors. Gear partners making sure every kid had what they needed. We made winter happen wherever we could, and the kids kept coming back.

Tough season for a lot of us. Best season for a whole lot of kids.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Gorgonio Pass spent the day at Big Bear working on their toe edge. By the afternoon, the whole group was linking turns.

Wildhorn Outfitters kept everyone geared up and able to see where they were going, which helps when you're still figuring out how to stop.

When a gear delivery from shows up at your ski & ride program, you know it’s about to be on. Beanies, gloves, coats and grins for days as the crew gears up and hits the slopes.

One kid from Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pikes Peak Region asked to skip lunch so he could get more runs in. His instructor said no. He negotiated it down to ten minutes in the lodge, max.

That's the vibe when the gear is right. Gloves from Seirus Innovation meant nobody had to sit out with frozen hands. A small thing that changes everything.

Bluebird skies or snow flying sideways, our crew shows up either way. That's just who they are.

They're chasing runs, hyping each other up at the bottom, and figuring out that this is something they want to do forever.

One season turns into two. Two turns into "I can't imagine my winter without this." Fist bump for fresh snow, every single time.

AKOVA Gear takes care of the gear so our crew can take care of the memories, and the only thing on their minds is the next run.

Saturday at Copper Mountain with Mikaela Shiffrin and 30 girls and young women who showed up ready to ski and ride was everything we’re about. Huge thanks to Mik for using her platform to bring more kids to the mountain, and to Oakley for showing up alongside us.
We’re with her on the next goal. $1 million to get more kids on snow and keep them there.

Our riders bring the determination. adidas brings the gear. Together? That's a whole vibe.

That chairlift ride up hits different every single time. Mountain ahead, board under your feet, and this feeling that today is going to be better than last week. We're so glad to have them riding alongside us all season long.
