Welcome to the Fall Season. Rehearsals start Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 9th through December 16th. We'll be in the Music Room of Whitehorne Middle School (off Verona Lot #1) for this season. The room that we've been using for rehearsals the last few seasons is called the Band Room. The doors will be open at 6:50pm, so please arrive a few minutes early and be ready to start promptly at 7pm. There will be a concert in the Civic Square during our rehearsal, and I expect that we will hear it during rehearsal. Parking will be limited. The town concert starts at 7pm and so does the rehearsal.

There is a new, smaller warmup book and copies will be distributed tomorrow. Video clips of Rehearsal Music can be found at www.veronavoices.org.

The Concert is on Saturday, December 20th at 7:30pm. Please mark your calendars.

Video Watch Party & Open House this Saturday, June 28. 2025 from 10:30am to 1pm at Verona Public Library (basement - Jack Foley Meeting Room). If you would like to sing with or or are just curious, drop by. We will view our May concert starting at Noon.

With only seven days to our Benefit at Sunrise West Orange and with our concert the following Saturday, our Director, Cara, and President, Tom, unveiled a new banner at rehearsal last night. Join us for the concert on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 7:30pm at the Verona Community Center, 880 Bloomfield Ave, in Verona NJ. Admission is by voluntary donation.

Spring 2025 Season Announced

The Spring 2025 season of Voices of Verona and West Essex Inc. will begin on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. We’ll meet in the Band Room of HB Whitehorne Middle School in Verona. Prospective singers as well as members should attend the open house from 7pm to 7:30pm to meet with Cara Gonch, the new Director. Rehearsal follows from 7:30pm to 9:30pm in the same room.

The Band Room is only accessible from a parking lot on Gould Street adjacent to the Athletic Fields. Walk away from the street and along the path to find a door opening directly into the Band Room. Please be advised that the path is dark at night, so don’t necessarily feel you are in the wrong place.

Now in its 76th year, Voices welcomes new singers in all vocal ranges and with all levels of experience. We are a New Jersey non-profit corporation and a 503(c)3 charitable/educational organization.

Cara Gonch has been named Director of Voices of Verona and West Essex Inc.

The Voices Board of Directors is pleased to announce that chorus member Cara Gonch will be our new Director effective immediately.

Cara has a degree in Music (Voice) from Western Connecticut State University and has sung with Voices since 2022. She has also performed with Our Lady of the Lake Choir, St. Valentine Church Choir, and the Bloomfield Chorale as singer, Leader of Song, and Substitute Chorale director. She has performed in musicals with Rosen Pac Theater in Wayne.
