Thanks to everyone who came out to day one of Maple Weekend! 🍁 We had an outstanding first day with over 1,000 meals sold. Students did absolutely amazing cooking pancakes, making fluff, running sales and giving maple tours. Can’t wait to see even more of you tomorrow! Breakfast is served 7:30am - 12 pm and maple tours 9am - 1pm and the offical tapping ceremony will be held at 11am.

New addition to maple weekend! 🌻 Our plant science class designed and made spring floral baskets. 💐 Prices vary based on size. Check out the arrangements on the tables as you are enjoying breakfast this weekend. 🥞 All proceeds support students of the VVS FFA!

Are you looking to get out of the house this weekend and avoid cooking? Come to the VVS High School gym Saturday and Sunday 7:30 AM - 12 PM to support the VVS FFA with our Maple Weekend. Maple sales, tours, fluff, pancake art and the pancake breakfast included! Sunday we have our annual tapping ceremony. Come support the VVS FFA!

On February 13-15th we brought 27 students to spend the weekend at Camp Oswegatchie! While there, students had lots of fun snowshoeing, sledding, building forts and fires, and getting to hang out with each other. Thank you to camp staff for hosting us and providing a super fun weekend!

We, the VVS FFA, had the opportunity to send Logan Matcham, Chris Joslyn, Donnavin Peckham and Adalynn Phillips to the State Leadership Conference in Albany last week to meet with their fellow members in sessions, listen to industry leaders, and talk with Legislators about what their support is doing for FFA, Agriculture education and Agriculture Students. Just recently Governor Hochul finalized her budget stating that the yearly NYS budget will incorporate FFA and Agriculture in the Classroom. We had meetings with Senator Joseph Griffo and Assemblyman Brian Miller. We had the opportunity to ask any questions we wanted and explain what ways we are involved in agriculture as well as express our gratitude for their continued support. These students had the opportunity to speak at round table discussions and give their opinions on certain agriculture topics.

Orders F and C from the citrus sale have arrived! For pickups the student you bought from can bring it home at the end of the school day if it has been paid for already, or you can come to the ag shop from 9am-3pm Wednesday and Thursday of this week!
