The members of the Verona Rescue Squad are proud to congratulate Frederick “Ricky” Tempesta on receiving the EMT of the Year Award from the EMS Council of New Jersey during its Annual Convention Dinner on Saturday, October 10th at the Sheraton Hotel in Parsippany.

This well-deserved recognition honors Ricky’s more than 20 years of dedicated service to the Verona Rescue Squad and the Township of Verona. Throughout his years of service, Ricky has served as Chief for several years and currently serves as President and 2nd Assistant Chief.

His commitment to EMS, leadership, and our community exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated volunteer. We are grateful for his many years of service and proud to see his dedication recognized at the state level.

Congratulations, Ricky, on this outstanding and well-deserved honor! Thank you for everything you do for the Verona Rescue Squad and our community! 🚑👏

25 Years Later, We Remember. 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage of all those who answered the call.

We especially remember the members of the Verona Rescue Squad who responded that day.

Their service and sacrifice will forever be a part of our Squad’s history.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
