I have done much thinking on this subject and have been on a journey. I can’t help but express to each of you the importance of how we treat our bodies. You and I have been bought with a price (Jesus life on the cross). Our bodies are not ours to defile with wickedness, lust, poor dieting, overeating, overuse of alcohol, drugs, ci******es, v**e (you fill in the blank).

Our bodies are the Temple of the Holy Spirit and should be treated like such.

These are Gods words not mine. Pray and discern them for yourselves.

If I asked you, what do you see in this photo, I may receive many different responses.
Why is that? Is it that the image changes? Is it that some of us don’t see the whole picture?

Or could it possibly be perspective?

What creates perspective? Life experiences. My perspective is a reflection of the things that have happened or not happened to me in my life.

So does this make any of the responses incorrect? No.

However, when it comes to Gods word we have to be extremely careful not to allow our “perspective” to narrate or define Gods word.

The Bible doesn’t change as time or the world changes. His is the same, yesterday, today and forever! So let us all be careful to use wisdom and discernment when interpreting God’s Holy Word.

And if you are a teacher/preacher of the word we must be even more careful.
His word says, if you lead one of my children away it would be better to have a millstone tied around your neck and thrown into the ocean. That’s a strong warning. Not to be taken lightly.

What you see in the photo is unfinished work.
If left as is it wouldn’t be desirable.

You and I are the same, unfinished work. We are a creation by God, yet through the act of sanctification are unfinished. We are still in progress.

Now Gods work is completed. God says he can do immeasurably more than you can think or imagine.
But God desires us to do the measurable. He desires for us to work out our salvation with fear and trembling.
How often do you think of your path? Or have you fallen into the trap of just going through the motions? Do you just go about life, got to Church, hear a good message and go back to life.

If that’s all there is to this life than that would be pointless!

God says he has an abundant life for us! But again what are you doing that’s measurable? Have you read the word today? Have you talked with God today? Have you thanked Him for your life today?

Well you’re in luck! Today’s not over!

On this Father’s Day, let us be reminded of our one true Father in heaven. He is love, patient, kind, forgiving. May we rest today in His grace and mercy.

And if today you do not have a relationship with God the Father I encourage you to surrender your will to Him and ask Him into your heart and He will forgive you of your sins and remember them no more!

We must all remember there are only two people that are willing to sacrifice their life for your freedom!
Jesus Christ ✝️ and the American Soldier 🇺🇸.

We must never forget the sacrifice made by each. We would not have the freedoms we have today if not for both.

Today let’s celebrate those freedoms together! Share time with friends. Say a prayer of thanksgiving to the Lord. Visit a soldier memorial. Teach your kids about those that went before us.

Never forget!
