Due to the Holidays, we’re behind in providing an update on the last special meeting that included 3C. But here it is! The bulleted summary is written by Irina Woelfle, who has been a part of the 3C process from the very beginning. She sends out 3C and City Council email updates to all who are interested. If you’d like to be a part of her email list, please DM us! Questions? Throw them in the comments. We’ll do our best to answer them!

You can also stream the meeting live on www.covb.org, BUT there is no live input when you stream. We encourage you to attend in person! This will be a special workshop devoted solely to 3C, so no time will be wasted.

If you’d like to submit input beforehand since you can’t attend in person, you can email it to the city clerk at [email protected].

We can tell you from personal experience, your voice WILL be heard if you attend the meetings and provide your input. Community involvement is crucial as we move forward with this project! Let’s do this!

We are still on cloud nine after the results came in last week!! As many of you know who have been following along, the last referendum would have threatened the progress of 3 Corners if it were to pass. On the night of Election Day, it was ruled invalid by a judge. And — even if it wasn’t — it wouldn’t have passed anyway! The last referendum results were 55% “no” and 45% “yes”. That has definitely made things even sweeter!! 😇 Thank you to all the voters who supported 3C. Be on the lookout for Part 2 of ’s 3C presentation — it will be posted 🔜

Sample ballots to help everyone out!!!

Shall the City Charter (section 5.05) be amended adding subsection (c) allowing development of the former power plant site located north of the Alma Lee Loy Bridge pursuant to a long-term lease for primarily public use and access, including
recreation, restaurant, retail, hotel, and similar uses as presented in the master concept plan approved in Resolution No. 2022-03 by City Council on
February 1, 2022?

VOTE YES!!!!!

Shall the City Charter be amended by adding to Section 5.05 the land north of Alex MacWilliam Boat Basin Park/Bob Summers Park designated as
South Marina Dry Storage; and adding to listed properties a further restriction on any future structures being added thereto of anything greater than
500 total square feet, or existing structures increased by 20% total size (footprint and volume), without a referendum approval by City voters in favor
of same?

VOTE NO!!!!!

A great opinion piece by for today
on the most important voting topics for next Tuesday Election!

VOTE YES for the first referendum

And NO for the last referendum, also known as the Marina referendum

“A nimble and thoughtful council is essential to deal with other issues the city could face depending on the outcomes of the referendums. Also, which council candidates have enough business savvy to:

- Shepherd the sewer plant move off the lagoon?
- Handle continued budgetary pressures as a result of the sale of the city’s electric utility?
- Work with Indian River Shores and county officials in dealing with future water, sewer and re-use water contracts?
- Handle a stormwater utility passed, but not funded with fees?
- Potential litigation stemming from referendums, Three Corners or utility issues?”
- Larry Reisman

Please do your part, get educated on these topics and individuals running for City Council & most importantly VOTE!!!!

We will say this until we are blue in the face: VOTE “YES” ON THE FIRST REFERENDUM AND VOTE “NO” ON THE LAST if you want to see 3 Corners come to life‼️‼️ Don’t let the work of the Vero Beach “Preservation” Alliance fool you. They are actively trying to trick voters with their 2 part referendum that was added at the very last minute to the ballot. It’s so confusing and misleading that it is being sent to a judge to decide if it’s even valid. Either way, VOTE “NO” ON THE LAST REFERENDUM so they don’t even have a chance to ruin our progress and growth!
