The Womb…
A womb is a place where something grows. It is a place where life is formed. In the same way, what we allow through our eyes and ears becomes planted inside of us. Those things grow, take root, and eventually produce fruit in our lives.
We may not always be able to control everything we see, but we can control what we choose to look at. We may not always be able to control everything we hear, but we can control what we choose to listen to.
Think about your recovery journey. Before coming to Leah’s House, many of us listened to voices that spoke lies over us. Some of us watched things, participated in things, or surrounded ourselves with things that fed our flesh instead of our spirit. Over time, those seeds grew and produced destruction.
Now God is teaching us something different.
Just as faith comes by hearing the Word of God, fear can come by hearing the wrong voices. Just as peace can grow from fixing our eyes on Jesus, anxiety can grow when our eyes are fixed on everything else.
The enemy would love nothing more than to plant seeds of doubt, fear, shame, guilt, bitterness, and temptation. But God wants to plant seeds of faith, hope, peace, joy, forgiveness, and freedom.
Every day we have a choice. What seeds will we allow into the womb of our eyes? What seeds will we allow into the womb of our ears?
The battle is often won or lost before it ever reaches our actions. It begins with what we allow to enter our hearts.
Over the past year, I have often prayed, “Lord, let me see the way You see, hear the way You hear, and speak the way You would speak.” I don’t always get it right, but God is faithful to correct me when I miss the mark. The key is being willing to receive correction and continue growing.

When the thunder rolls and the lightening strikes and the sound of rain is loud we want you to know…At Leah’s House, every single one of us is in the process of leaving something behind while learning to follow Him one step at a time. Some days are hard. Some days feel heavy. Some days we may even wonder if freedom is really possible.

But the beautiful thing about Jesus is this:
He does not call perfect people.
He calls willing people.

The disciples did not have it all together when Jesus called them. They simply chose to follow.

And today, He is still calling people out of storms, addiction, heartbreak, confusion, and hopelessness saying:
“Come follow Me.”

Maybe today your “yes” to God looks small.
Maybe it’s just getting up.
Maybe it’s praying when you don’t feel like it.
Maybe it’s choosing not to go back to what broke you.
Maybe it’s believing one more day that God can restore your life.

That still matters.

Do not despise small beginnings because every step of obedience leads somewhere.

The rain may come.
Storms may beat loudly around you.
But when you stay planted in Him, the storm no longer gets the final say.

The vision of Leah's House Of Hope is for every lady that comes through these doors to find hope, healing and restoration in their lives. That restoration comes from Christ and Christ alone.

This restoration includes getting back out into the workforce as they are ready.

Today, we give a shout out to Emily as she starts her first day back to work in this new season of her life!

"Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men." Colossians 3:23

"Commit your works to the Lord And your plans will be established." Proverbs 16:3

At Leah’s House, we have learned that recovery is often a journey filled with heartbreak, hope, setbacks, prayers, and sometimes “one last times.”

One last phone call saying,
“I’m ready.”

One last ride to treatment.
One last surrender to GOD.
One last chance to choose life over destruction.

The story of the prodigal son reminds us that restoration is possible. It happened in the Bible so we could know that GOD still changes lives today. No one is too far gone for grace, healing, and redemption.

But we have also learned that biblical love requires both compassion and wisdom. Loving someone does not mean enabling destructive behavior. Sometimes the hardest kind of love is setting boundaries while continuing to pray and believe GOD for breakthrough.

At Leah’s House, we stand on hope, but our hope is anchored in GOD…not in promises people make in emotional moments. Because true freedom only comes through surrender to HIM.

To the one struggling today:
You still have a choice.
You still have breath.
You still have an opportunity to say,
“I’m ready.”

Ready to heal.
Ready to surrender.
Ready to come home.
Ready for GOD to rewrite your story.

Luke 15:20
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him…”

This morning in my quiet place, I found myself thinking…

Thinking about the message on the Blood of Jesus… and the question that was asked at Chruch: Would you truly stand for Him… or would you renounce Him?

I had a conversation with someone I love, and it stirred something deep in me. Because the truth is…walking this out as a Christian isn’t always easy… especially when you’ve come out of a life the enemy once had you bound in.

It can feel like standing alone.

Like a child in a candy store, surrounded by everything you used to indulge in…but now you’ve been told, “Don’t touch.”
Now imagine that child is someone who has come out of addiction, abuse, anger, or the things of this world… and they’re placed right back into those same environments.

You want to stand.
You believe you have the faith to stand.
But when you’re the only one… how long can you stand before you’re pulled back in?

That’s real. That’s honest.

And it’s why strength in Christ matters.

There are seasons where you have to step back and get stronger, where His light in you has to grow brighter than the pull around you. Because if we’re not careful, instead of influencing the world… the world will influence us.

But the question still remains… Will you stand for Jesus?
Will you confess Him when you’re the only one?
When pressure is all around?
When it would be easier to blend in?

I’m praying today that you don’t just hear this…but you receive it. Let it challenge you. Let it grow you. Let it strengthen you.

Because we are called to stand. ❤️‍🔥

1 Corinthians 16:13
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”

Leah’s house of “HOPE”

Where our goal is that HOPE IS RESTORED!

When you don’t give up on someone, something powerful happens:
Hope is restored
Life begins to grow
Healing starts to take place and one day… they bloom
And then that ONE…
Becomes someone who can plant, water, and feed others.

Romans 15:13 (KJV)
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope…”

When Jesus died on the cross, it was personal. He took on every weight each one of us has ever felt. Every hurt, habit and hangup. Every bit of trauma, every sin, every chain we didn't know how to break.
But that wasn't the end.
He also rose on the third day for every one of us. To give us a new life. A life where our past does not define us. What tried to to destroy us no longer has authority over us. We can be free, not bound. Redeemed, not lost. He rose again on the third day so we can live.
He died for you.
He rose for you.
Will you choose Him today?

Here at Leah's House we are so thankful for every person that pours into these ladies in any kind of way. Below are pictures of an Easter craft that a wonderful lady came and did with us. This weekend we are learning how to make this holiday personal. Yes He died for everyone, and He rose again on the third day...but what does that mean to you? Thank you Jesus for your precious blood and for new life!

Happy Resurrection Day from Leah's House Of Hope!!!
