Enhance your confidence in providing initial support to youth facing mental health challenges or substance misuse issues and learn how to connect them with the right resources.

Certified instructors at UConn Extension offer the Mental Health First Aid course from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. This training involves two hours of self-directed online study followed by the live virtual sessions.

Participants will engage in activities and practice support techniques during the course. Upon successful completion, an online certificate will be provided.

One week prior to the instructor-led session(s), registrants will receive an email with instructions for accessing the self-paced online component and course links.
