We’re so proud of the high school students from Unified Vernon Township High School that are participating in our Equine-Assisted Learning program! Through their time with the horses, students are building confidence, strengthening communication skills, practicing patience, developing trust, and learning the value of teamwork.

Every interaction, every challenge overcome, and every small breakthrough is a step forward. 🌱 Watching these students grow, connect, and discover their strengths is a powerful reminder that progress looks different for everyone—and every step matters!

Here’s to celebrating the growth, the effort, and the incredible connections being made along the way! 🐎❤️

A Day of Connection, Reflection & Renewal

Our End-of-Care Nurses recently enjoyed a meaningful day of equine-assisted learning, taking time to step away from the demands of their work and focus on connection, reflection, and wellbeing.

Through activities with the horses, the team explored trust, communication, mindfulness, boundaries, and self-awareness, all while enjoying the peace and beauty of being outdoors.

There was time for laughter, thoughtful conversation, shared experiences, and simply being present.

It was a beautiful reminder that those who spend their days caring for others also deserve time to pause, recharge, and care for themselves.

We’re grateful for our incredible nurses and the compassion they bring to their work every day.

We’re excited to welcome cancer survivors to an upcoming Equine-Assisted Learning Retreat Day — a day created to pause, reconnect, and make space for healing and renewal.
Spend time with gentle horses, connect with others who understand the journey, and enjoy a day focused on self-care, connection, reflection, and hope. 🌿✨
No expectations. No pressure. Just a welcoming space to breathe, be present, and experience the powerful connection that can happen between people and horses.
💜 You’ve been through so much. This day is about making space for YOU.
