Our Community Tag Sale & Plant Swap is happening this Saturday at the farm!

Come browse vintage finds, household treasures, farm charm, and “junk in the trunk” goodies from over a dozen local sellers. Plus, bring extra plants from home and swap for something new!

Over 30 students enjoyed an "authentic" living history experience learning really cool stuff about the Civil War at the farm in the cold windy rainy weather with none complaining! Thank you to Frank Niederwerfer in delivering this program with members of the Alden Skinner Camp #45 of the Sons of Union Veterans, 14th CT Reenacting members, and volunteer help from New England Civil War Museum (located in the Town Hall of Vernon). Also thanks to Andre Garant, our long time photographer, who endured the weather to get great photos for this collage!

Thank you to Ethan Malouin for choosing to carry out an improvement project at Strong Family Farm's West Street property for his Eagle project! He and Troop 27 did a wonderful job on the signage, path, and log bench! You can access the path to the east of tee 18 of the Ecker Hill Disc Golf course behind VCMS.

It’s time for the annual plant swap at the Strong Family Farm!
While you’re planting out your flower, herb, and vegetable gardens, save extras or cuttings and bring to the swap. You can trade it for something new.

Mon Soleil will also have flower, herb, and vegetable orphan seedlings you can adopt for a free will donation.

Congratulations to Zara Waldman and Lane Thornton - winning runners at this year's Strong Family Farm's 5K Chicken Run!!! It was Zara's special 169th town to do a 5K!!! Thanks to the Run 169 Towns Society for making it special for her!
