Teachers, students, parents and Carnegie staff enjoyed having Susie, with the Wilbarger Humane Society, come in and be a guest reader today. Susie read us a fantastic story and talked to us about how to care for our furry, four-legged family members and also what to do when we see a lost dog or cat. She also brought along one of her good friends, Fancy. Fancy is a Shih Tzu mix that is almost one year old with a huge, beautiful personality. Of course Fancy stole the show and got a lot of kid pets and hugs! We sure did hate to see them go, but Susie was kind enough to leave us book marks about shelter animals and coloring sheets that featured shelter pets. Susie, thank you so much for coming to Carnegie and sharing your time and energy. We can’t wait to see you again! Be sure to give Fancy some “woofs” from everyone that truly enjoyed meeting her today

What a fun and educational time we had at the Carnegie today with Ms. Maria! We learned so much about dinosaurs and everyone got to participate if they wanted to. Thank you Ms. Maria for visiting with us again this summer! Also, thanks to Friends of the Library for making it possible to give books as prizes and thank you Taco Casa for the gift cards! This is going to be a great summer! We will see everyone next Thursday!
