I started my music journey with the Suzuki violin when I was 2 ½ years old. I switched to learning the piano when I was 4 ½ years old. Music has always been my first language, and I started to read music even before reading English. I am blessed to learn the piano and cello from the best teachers in the Chicagoland area. I have participated in various piano competitions and festivals over the past
nine years and completed all 12 Levels of Piano AIM theory exams. Apart from the piano, I have been learning cello for the past three years, and I also take vocal lessons. Last year, I also dabbled in learning clarinet, and I am also learning how to play Saxophone. During the pandemic, I spent a lot of my time playing these instruments, and since we could not do much outside the home, I decided to do community work and teach kids how to play the piano. I started giving weekly lessons to a few 5-9-year-old kids, and slowly my studio grew! Not many teachers were teaching in-person lessons, and I felt it is so essential for beginners to have in-person lessons. I took great precautions to make sure everyone wears masks for lessons. Teaching kids turned out to be an enriching experience for me as I realized how much I enjoy teaching. I am always eagerly waiting for my students to come each week, and I get a lot of joy to see how they are progressing. I know the world is still going through a bad phase, and I will donate 25% of my earnings to charities and use the rest to further music education. Please like my Facebook and Instagram page and follow my journey and I hope to continue teaching and donate to charities that benefit children worldwide.
