7:10 Foundation is a 501(c)3 non profit organization. Our main goal is to help provide support to people in need in Haiti; spiritual, financial, physical.

7:10 Foundation was founded in 2014 with a vision to help widows in Haiti. The name comes from scripture, Zechariah 7:10. Following our calling from God, we have been able to purchase property in La Digue Haiti, and start building a widowage. This property will build homes for homeless widows, that have no place to live. The goal is to have them be self sustainable through trades like gardening and farming. As of May 1st, 2017 we have built 1 home for a widow, purchased 1 home for a widow, and provided housing for a widow while we raise money for another house on the widowage for her. We have also built 4 homes outside of the widowage for families in need.

Before these backpacks were placed into the hands of children and families, our sweet Roseberline prayed over them. She prayed for the students who would carry them, for their education, and for the year ahead. What a beautiful reminder that these backpacks represent so much more than school supplies. They represent opportunity, hope, and answered prayer.

School will be starting soon in Haiti, and the needs are great!

Thanks to your generosity, we have raised enough for 10 backpacks so far. We would love to provide 100 backpacks this year!

We also have a couple of needs within our own 7:10 family.

Our director needs a reliable, heavy-duty Android phone, preferably a Samsung. He relies on his phone every day to communicate and coordinate the work being done in Haiti.

Our Roseberline will be starting HIGH SCHOOL this year! What?! How did that happen? She needs a laptop or a tablet with similar capabilities for her classes.

🎒 CARRY HOPE
Helping remove one barrier between a child and the classroom.

For many years, the 7:10 Foundation has helped children in Haiti prepare for a new school year.

Years ago, we filled every suitcase we could with backpacks and carried them to Haiti ourselves. As travel became unsafe, we adapted. Today, we purchase backpacks in Haiti whenever possible, continuing to invest in local businesses while helping students prepare for school.

Before a child can begin school in Haiti, families must provide every required item, including a uniform, shoes, socks, hair accessories for girls, and a backpack. For many families, meeting all of those requirements is overwhelming.

This year, our goal is to help provide 100 backpacks.

A gift of $35 helps provide one required backpack, removing one barrier between a student and the classroom.

We know a backpack alone doesn't send a child to school. But it is one important piece of the journey, and together we can help lighten that burden for a family.

Will you take this one step with us?

Ten widows in our village and the surrounding mountain communities are struggling with their health — diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease. Some were diagnosed years ago and simply haven't been able to get back to a doctor. Others have symptoms but no answers yet.

Without consistent access to clean water and daily food, managing any health condition becomes that much harder.

For $10, we can send one woman to get a check-up — a real appointment, with a doctor, to find out where she stands. If lab work or medicine is needed, that would come next, and any giving beyond the check-ups would go directly toward those costs — or a meal.

10 widows. $10 each. $110 total* (*includes 10% processing and transfer fees)

These women are known. They are cared for. And right now, they need us to take this one practical step with them.

This week has brought overwhelming grief and continued medical emergencies for families connected to the 7:10 Foundation in Haiti.

One of our widows, Joasilia Metellus, tragically lost her son, Kechnel Mytil (40), to gang violence near Cité Soleil. Our Haitian team has been sitting with her, grieving alongside her, helping provide food, emotional support, and assistance as she tries to process unimaginable loss.

At the same time:

• Rose continues receiving treatment for chronic ear infections, recurring fevers, severe dental infections, and complications connected to sickle cell disease. Additional medications, ear treatments, cleanings, and dental visits are still needed as infections continue returning.

• Mme Elissianne continues monthly doctor visits, medications, and monitoring for ongoing health concerns related to her heart and cholesterol.

• Daniel’s mother is struggling physically and mentally while battling illness and malnutrition.

One message from our Haitian director this week said:
“Sometimes sister I am like someone without mind, too much going on. I feel like screaming.”

Another:
“Headache every day because too many bad news.”

This is the reality many families in Haiti are facing right now:

* Gang violence
* Medical instability
* Food insecurity
* Unsafe travel
* Overwhelming grief
* Constant emergency needs

Yet through it all, our Haitian ministry partners continue showing up for widows, children, and vulnerable families every single day with incredible faith and courage.

Current urgent needs include:

* Medical appointments
* Prescription medications
* Ear and dental treatments
* Food assistance
* Transportation
* Support for grieving families
* Ongoing widow care

Joasilia is hoping to organize something in her son’s memory, and we would love to help support her during this heartbreaking time.

Communication in Haiti is extremely difficult right now, and his phone is one of the main lifelines connecting:

A good working Android phone — even a quality used or refurbished one — would make a huge difference for ministry operations on the ground.

URGENT NEED — MOTHER & NEWBORN IN CRISIS

Today, a mother and her newborn arrived at our gate from the mountains in critical condition.

• Mother (Chelta) is struggling to breathe due to severe fluid in her lungs and needs urgent transfer to a specialist
• Baby (under 2 months old) has a high fever and requires immediate care at our local clinic

They arrived with nothing.

Immediate needs:
• Medical transport for mom
• Emergency care for baby
• Formula, diapers, clothing, bedding
• Financial support for a caregiver while mother is away

We are asking for $300 immediately to respond to this emergency.

The baby has not yet been named — something not uncommon in extreme poverty. Our director has been asked to name him so he can be registered for care.

URGENT NEED – MEDICAL CARE FOR A WIDOW IN OUR VILLAGE

Madam Elissianne is the first widow supported through the 7:10 Foundation. She lives on our property in Haiti and is the sole provider for her grandson.

She is currently facing serious health issues:
• Uncontrolled high blood pressure
• Very high cholesterol
• An enlarged heart
• Ongoing need for weekly care and daily hospital injections

Despite strong medications, her condition is not stabilizing.

In Haiti, medical care is not only difficult to access—it must be paid for upfront. Medications, hospital visits, and even proper nutrition are often out of reach.

She has been advised to follow a healthier diet (including items like olive oil), but food costs alone make this nearly impossible.

Immediate Need: $250

This will cover:
• Essential medications
• Hospital-administered injections
• Basic groceries to support her recovery

Without proper nutrition, her medications will not be effective.

This is a critical moment for her health and survival.

Tomorrow we celebrate a beautiful milestone.
Roseberline turns 14.

When we first met Rose, she was only 4 years old and weighed less than 20 pounds. She had endured abandonment, neglect, severe malnutrition, and life-threatening health challenges that no child should ever face.

But today she is something incredible.

A healthy, thriving, compassionate, intelligent, and talented young woman who knows she is loved and wanted.

Her story is one of the reasons the work of the 7:10 Foundation matters.

There are still so many children in Haiti facing the same hardships Rose once faced — hunger, instability, lack of medical care, and limited access to education.

In honor of Roseberline’s birthday tomorrow (March 8th), we are inviting those who feel led to help us continue caring for children like her.

Day 8 — Staff Payroll

Today we focus on the heartbeat of our work in Haiti:
our local staff.

These men and women show up every day with courage, compassion, and faithfulness — often in conditions that are unstable, unsafe, or unpredictable. They serve widows, feed families, support children, manage logistics, coordinate care, and bring hope exactly where it’s needed most.

Our staff members are:
• Care coordinators
• Educators
• Meal program support
• Community liaisons
• Safety and transport helpers
• Administrative support
• Field workers who enter vulnerable areas so others don’t have to

They serve in the midst of rising costs, gang activity, transportation challenges, and food insecurity — yet they show up with love and dedication.
