Soccer friends! I’m sure some of you are still waiting to hear back from coaches for tryouts, we still have some coaches working to finalize rosters so please continue to be patient. I understand this can be hard to wait, but this does take time. You will hear a yes or no by June 9th. Hey everyone I know a lot of people have questions about tryouts today with the weather. We will keep everyone posted, but plan on still having tryouts unless things don’t calm down at all. I will post updates as we get closer to tryouts with the plan. Thanks 😊

Octane had a great season and we can’t wait for Tryouts! Three of our teams took first in their respective divisions. We are so proud of all of our teams and wish everyone luck at tryouts.

Hey soccer family, please share and double check the birthday for your kiddos so you know what group to plan on for tryouts! UYSA has switched up some age grouping so as a club we are trying to follow that transition. If your child’s birthday is AFTER July 31st 2018, going into 1st or 2nd grade and is still interested in our club please reach out about our academy option.

How to Register for In-Person Grassroots Courses (Required to Coach in Utah)
1. Register in the U.S. Soccer Learning Center
• Visit: https://learning.ussoccer.com
• Create an account if you don’t have one (do NOT create a duplicate).
• Your name and email MUST match your Sports Connect (Utah) account for your license to sync properly.

2. Complete the Intro to Grassroots Course
• This is free and required before registering.
• You’ll find it in the left-hand menu after logging in.

3. Register for Two In-Person Grassroots Courses
• Course links are hidden—use the direct links provided.
• On the course page, look for a blue box. It will say one of the following:

◦ LOG IN – Sign in, then re-click the course link.
◦ Not Eligible – Complete the Intro to Grassroots, then re-click the course link.
◦ The course is Sold Out – Join the waitlist for both courses. You will be accepted and sent a payment link. Cost: $65 per course ($130 total)

4. Waitlist & Acceptance
• You may wait up to 48 hours to receive an email from U.S. Soccer to accept your spot.
• Check your junk/spam folder.
• If no email arrives, re-click the course link. If accepted, the blue box will say Accept Spot and prompt you to pay.

REQUIRED ASSIGNMENTS
• SafeSport Training
• Intro to Safe and Healthy Playing Environments (renews annually)
• Page of Experience – discussed during the course and due within one week

• If assignments are not turned in within two weeks of the course, you may fail and need to retake (and repay for) the course.
• You are not officially registered until you’ve paid for both courses.
