Join Green Apron: Holidays Around the World, a FREE virtual cooking series where you'll build kitchen confidence, learn practical cooking skills, explore flavors from around the globe, and discover creative ways to reduce food waste at home.

We are also excited to welcome Katie Ufford, our new 4-H Coordinator, and hear from our special guest speaker, Craig Dart from the State 4-H Office.
Come enjoy an ice cream bar, dirty sodas, root b**r floats, and refreshments with your Uintah County 4-H community! 🍨🥤

🌧️🥾 No weather can dampen our 4-H spirit!!
While weekend rain led to the rescheduling of our Jones Hole Hike, we turned the change into a fun lesson on flexibility. Sometimes adventures don't go exactly as planned, and that's okay! Learning to adapt is just another part of the journey.

Thank you to everyone who rolled with the changes and kept a positive attitude. We can't wait to hit the trail soon!

🍀 We're Recruiting for Our 4-H Jr. FCS Competition Team! 🍀
Do you love cooking, sewing, fashion, or learning new life skills? This might be the perfect opportunity for YOU!
We have 3–4 spots available for middle school-aged youth to join our Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Competition Team!
This is a fun opportunity to explore your interests, learn new skills, make friends, and represent Uintah County 4-H!
Our team will compete in: ⭐ Quiz Bowl ⭐ Decision Making ⭐ Skill-a-Thon
👩‍🏫 Coach: Hillary Richards
📅 Practice Dates: September 21 & 28, October 5 & 26, November 2
⏰ Time: 7:00–8:30 PM
🏆 Competition: November 7 at 9:00 AM in Kaysville, Utah.
Participants must be available on competition day and willing to travel to Kaysville.

Wow!! This week's amazing storms have been a welcome sight in Uintah County, providing much needed moisture for landscapes, rangelands, and reducing fire concerns following a long season of drought conditions.

Looking ahead, temperatures are expected to remain mild with chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast. Every drop helps!

A few reminders:
-Adjust irrigation systems after rainfall events.
-Take advantage of cooler temperatures for fall landscaping projects.
-Continue practicing water-wise habits as drought conditions can persist even after short-term precipitation.
-Watch for changing road and recreation conditions following storms.
