The news of the loss of members of the Long family is devastating to both Utah Hockey and the Ashley Valley community. Tonight, we asked that our AVAHA families show their support for the loss of fellow Utah hockey players Gage & Thayne Long by placing hockey sticks outside our doors as a symbol of love, respect, and remembrance for the young players whose life was tragically cut short.

The logo on the front of a jersey may be different, but the heart behind it is the same. We are all part of one hockey community—one that celebrates together, supports one another, and grieves together.

To the player's family, teammates, coaches, and organization, please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We hope this small gesture serves as a reminder that you are not carrying this loss alone.

May we continue to cherish every practice, every game, every teammate, and every moment we are fortunate enough to spend together.

Our sticks are out.
Our hearts are with you.
Our hockey family stands beside yours. 🏒❤️
