Friends of the Utah Field House

Friends of the Utah Field House The Friends is a group of volunteers that are dedicated to helping the Utah Field House grow and improve.

The Friends of the Utah Field House was formed in 2006 to carry out two main goals:
1. Raising, managing and disbursing finds for capital improvements to the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum as well as for the interpretive, preservation and research program of the Museum.
2. Recruiting and providing volunteers to assist with Museum educational programs and events, Museum exhib

its and their interpretation, the Museum gardens and building, as well as Museum curatorial and research projects.

New information about a fossil found nearly 40 years ago has been unveiled after radiocarbon testing. The fossil belongs to an ancient camel native to Utah and North America, and is much older than scientists expected.
