These five boys coats were delivered this morning! 🙌🏼 Also, pics of the other cute coats we’ve delivered over the last three weeks (missing are a couple of coats sent to Rangely a few weeks back and 3 preschool sized coats). We’re so grateful for the teachers and community groups who advocate for our youngest community members. Without them, we couldn’t get these coats to the kids who need them.

Last week we received 19 new coat requests. I was worried that for the first time ever we were not going to be able to fulfill these requests. It would have completely wiped out our funding and then some.

Thankfully, Alpine Bank graciously stepped in and donated all 19 coats this morning! Alpine has always valued and supported our community. Once again they continue to give back, even to our youngest community members. The Warm Hearts Project is forever grateful. Thank you, Alpine Bank!

It's Election Day and here are some numbers we can all feel good about:
35 coats donated so far this fall.
19 NEW coat requests to be fulfilled.
$480 raised through our Go Fund Me project.

NINE coats went out for delivery this morning! FIVE different families will be able to have new, warm coats for their littles this winter. 🙌🏼 Thank you to those who have donated to our GO FUND ME. These donations will help us be able to reach as many kids as possible this winter. THIRTY coats delivered already this fall!

On a side note- I was taking a photo of our little guy on this blanket right before I quickly laid the coats out and snapped a picture of them. I didn’t think about it until later, but this is the quilt my mom had made up from my dad’s clothes. It feels like he’s smiling up at these coats. 🥰

2020 continues to be a year of unprecedented firsts. The Warm Hearts Project is no exception to this. We've had our earliest coat requests ever- starting at the end of August. The unseasonal cold front that came through Colorado in early September kicked off our season of giving earlier than usual. We've also had many more early coat requests than is typical for this time of year. To date we have delivered 21 coats. That brings our unofficial coat count to 277. We’ve also had a request for SEVEN more coats for four different families this afternoon.

We are grateful to continue helping our youngest community members with the gift of a warm, new coat. We anticipated the need in our communities to be the greatest ever this winter. To help us meet this demand, we have started a Go Fund Me account https://www.gofundme.com/f/warming-hearts-and-bodies. We couldn't do what we do without the support of our family, friends and generous community. Coats usually cost around $40 each.

Thank you to all of those who believe in this project. As 2020 had certainly challenged us all, we hope it will be true that we’ve not only risen up to meet these challenges, but met them with unprecedented generosity and compassion.

It’s delivery day for these six coats! These prints are so fun. told me my dad used to wear a coat just like the orange ombré one. Guess he was ahead of the times! 😆🥰
