PATRONS! We need your help! This year, we're looking to see if you can outread the librarians AND the Roosevelt and Duchsene libraries. They've started out the summer strong by reading 141,533 minutes. They are kicking our goat. To stop them from doing so, sign up for summer reading https://forms.gle/1dH5RiJMNDb8X1X49. Once signed up, stop by the library for your tracker and start reading.

Want to know what counts and what doesn't? Reading to a child who can't? It counts. Attending a storytime? It counts. Reading signs while hiking? It counts. Listening to an audiobook? It counts. Reading a physical book or an e-book? It counts. Now go out there and READ, READ, READ!

Kids Cafe’s hours have changed for the summer!

Join us Monday through Saturday from 10 - 11 AM for breakfast and 2:30 - 3:30 PM for lunch starting May 29th.

Kids Cafe is an event sponsored by Utah Food Bank where ages 0-18 can receive a free snack.

It's time for our staff spotlight!

Roxy is such an incredible member of the Uintah County Library team. Roxy is always quietly working behind the scenes to collaborate with Utah Food Bank and ensure that Kids Cafe runs smoothly. She does a wonderful job with our Yoga Storytimes and has even added a Pajama Yoga Storytime to our calendar this summer. She says, “I love libraries because they promote reading, learning, and discovering!”

Here are a few fun facts about Roxy:

- She’s been with Uintah County Library for a long time!
- Her favorite childhood book was Just a Mess by Mercer Mayer.
- Some of her hobbies include: Painting, reading, writing, hiking, fishing, rappelling, and baking.
- Her favorite snacks are Reeses, Cheez-its, and dark chocolate!
- She loves Italian food and Christian rock.
- Her favorite program is Yoga Storytime!
