SATURDAY, June 20th at the 60th Annual Festival of the Fish is packed with fun from morning to night!

Start the day with the Sandcastle Contest at Main Street Beach, then head downtown for food, shopping, midway rides, and family fun.

NEW this year, don’t miss The BarkFather Dog Costume Contest! Dress up your favorite four-legged family member and join us for what is sure to be one of the cutest and funniest events of the weekend. It’s an offer your dog can’t refuse!

Then cheer on the fearless crews of the Crazy Craft Regatta as homemade boats attempt to conquer the Vermilion River, followed by live music from TK & The Brass Tacks and Boaterhead on the Main Stage.

As the sun sets, enjoy the beautiful Lighted Boat Parade on the Vermilion River.

WOW… WHAT A NIGHT!

The skies over Vermilion came alive tonight as thousands gathered along the waterfront for an unforgettable Festival of the Fish Fireworks Spectacular!

From Bella Urday’s beautiful National Anthem to the first shell soaring over Lake Erie and the breathtaking grand finale launched from the detached breakwall, it was a night filled with pride, tradition, and community spirit.

A special thank you to Grand Finale Fireworks for an incredible display and to our fireworks emcees, Mike Rini and John Young, for helping make the evening so memorable.

The sky over Lake Erie will come alive at approximately 9:45 PM as we celebrate the opening night of the 60th Annual Festival of the Fish.

There’s just something special about a summer evening in a North Coast lake town.

As the sun dipped toward Lake Erie, downtown Vermilion came alive with music drifting through the streets, friends gathering on patios, families strolling from venue to venue, and visitors discovering all the charm that makes our community so unique. It was a beautiful and busy 3rd Thursday Music, Flowers & A Sunset, and a wonderful reminder of why we love calling Vermilion home.

Now all eyes turn to the 60th Annual Festival of the Fish, June 19–21, as volunteers put the finishing touches on a weekend filled with family fun, live entertainment, fireworks, food, and memories in downtown Vermilion. With beautiful weather in the forecast, it’s shaping up to be an incredible weekend on the shores of Lake Erie.

THE WAIT IS OVER!

Tomorrow, Downtown Vermilion comes alive as we kick off the 60th Annual Festival of the Fish!

For 60 years, families, friends, neighbors, and visitors have gathered on Father’s Day Weekend to celebrate everything that makes Vermilion special. From fireworks over Lake Erie and live music to great food, shopping, and unforgettable memories, this weekend is a tradition generations have enjoyed together.

Friday’s festivities begin with the Royalty Pageant at 3 PM, the midway opens at 3 PM, K96/95.3 broadcasts live from Victory Park, and Disco Inferno takes the Main Stage from 8-11 PM for a FREE concert packed with your favorite 70s and 80s hits.

As dusk falls, join us along the waterfront for a spectacular fireworks show over Lake Erie. Community favorites Mike Rini and John Young will emcee the fireworks, and Isabella “Bella” Urday will perform the National Anthem.

While you’re here, be sure to explore Vermilion’s amazing restaurants, boutiques, shops, galleries, and local businesses throughout downtown.
