Unfortunately, due to the local fair happening tonight and expected low attendance, we’ve made the difficult last-minute decision to cancel tonight’s line dancing event. 💔

We’re so sorry for the short notice and appreciate your understanding! We want to make sure our dance nights are fun, energetic, and well attended—and tonight just isn’t shaping up that way.

Have a great time at the fair if you’re headed there, and we can’t wait to see everyone back on the dance floor at our next event! 🤠💃

A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to our Support Our Deployed Soldiers Care Package Drive. Your generosity and kindness are helping us remind our deployed service members that they are appreciated, supported, and never forgotten.

Because of the incredible response from our community, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 14 has decided to extend our donation drive!

There is still time to make a difference. We are continuing to collect care package items for our deployed troops.

If you would like to donate but are unable to make it to the Post, please reach out to us. We would be happy to arrange a pickup so you can still be a part of supporting our service members.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, helps lift the spirits of the brave men and women serving our country far from home.

Thank you again for your continued generosity and support of our deployed heroes!

Women Veterans Day commemorates June 12, 1948, when President Harry S. Truman signed the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act into law. This historic legislation allowed women to serve as permanent, regular members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and the newly established Air Force.
Prior to this act, women were limited to temporary or auxiliary roles, often serving only during times of war and primarily in positions such as nursing.
The passage of the act marked a significant step forward in advancing gender equality within the U.S. military, although it initially included restrictions on the number of women who could serve and the ranks they could attain.

National Poppy Day®
May 22, 2026
Poppy Day is celebrated in countries around the world. The American Legion Family brought National Poppy Day® to the United States by asking Congress to designate the Friday before Memorial Day, as National Poppy Day.

On the Friday before Memorial Day, wear a red poppy to honor the fallen and support the living who have worn our nation's uniform.

The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars. It reminds Americans of the sacrifices made by our veterans while protecting our freedoms.

Led by the American Legion Auxiliary, each year members of The American Legion Family distribute poppies with a request that the person receiving the flower make a donation to support the future of veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families with medical and financial needs.
