The Best That Money Can’t Buy

Jacque Fresco envisions a global civilization in which science and technology are applied with human and environmental concerns to secure, protect, and encourage a more humane world for all people.

This book, originally published in 2002, offers a possible way out of our recurring cycles of boom and recession, famine, poverty, a declining environment, and territorial conflicts where peace is merely the interval between wars. It outlines an attainable, humane social design of the near future where human rights are no longer paper proclamations but a way of life.

The Best That Money Can’t Buy is a challenge to all people to work towards a society in which all of the world’s resources become the common heritage of all of the Earth’s people. It is accompanied by 150 color photos of Fresco’s original designs, which illuminate the fulfilling lifestyle of a Global Resource Based Economy. "The Choice is Ours" 2016 by The Venus Project

This film series explores many aspects of our society. To rethink what is possible in our world, we need to consider what kind of world we want to live in. Although we refer to it as a civilization, it is anything but civilized. Visions of global unity & fellowship have long inspired humanity, yet the social arrangements up to the present have largely failed to produce a peaceful and productive world. While we appear to be technically advanced, our values and behaviors are not. The possibility of an optimistic future is in stark contrast to our current social, economic, and environmental dilemmas.
The Choice Is Ours includes interviews with notable scientists, media professionals, authors, and other thinkers exploring the difficulties we face.

Have you been thinking you’d like to get active for The Venus Project but don’t know how? Do you enjoy being part of a team?
TVP Support is preparing the next level Orientation Process, and we are updating it in a very exciting way!
In this new edition, we will be opening the doors to also building teams of Regional Coordinators. If you know of two or three other TVP Supporters in your country, or state, get together and email us. Tell us about yourselves and why you think you’d make an effective team for TVP Support.

(Orientation Process approx: duration; 21 weeks in weekly 2 hour study sessions online + 3 hours preparation.)

The Venus Project Support (TVPS), which is a separate all-volunteer network, is currently accepting applications for the responsibility of becoming a Regional Coordinator (RC) for their geographical area.
Being an RC requires dedication and a certain flexibility with available time.
While RCs are expected to embrace TVP as an additional responsibility, it is understood that people do have their own lives that come with commitments and unforeseen circumstances.
RCs will possess the organizational skills, drive, and energy to organize events and activities to reach more people with concepts of TVP. They will also have at least a B2 level of spoken and written English. A stable internet connection and either a laptop or desktop computer are necessary.
In the first quarter of 2021 we will begin the next edition of the RC Orientation Process (OP), which will require 21 consecutive weeks to complete. These sessions will be conducted online. Approximately 5 hours per week will be required (a weekly 2 hour online session with approximately 3 hours of preparation).
As the process of learning more about TVP is continuous, we organize ongoing discussion groups for after the OP is completed. Coordinators are expected to attend these online sessions as much as possible in order to expand their knowledge of TVP and how it relates to the natural world.
Interested candidates will understand the seriousness of the responsibility they are undertaking and will have the fortitude to continue when challenges arise.
