From facing an uncertain future to becoming a business owner, Harley’s journey is one of growth, resilience, and new beginnings.

While pregnant and at risk of homelessness, Harley found support and community at The City Center. Through the program, she built a strong foundation for herself and her family. Today, she’s the proud owner of Ellie’s Playhouse and an incredible example of what a fresh start can look like.

We’re proud to share her story. ❤️

What a day on the greens at our annual golf tournament at Soule Park.

From our golfers and sponsors to our volunteers and supporters, thank you for making it such a memorable day. Together, we raised $44,000 to support children and parents at The City Center.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our sponsors for helping make this event possible. We’d also like to give special recognition to our Title Sponsor, Nelson & Nelson Wealth Management, and our Hole-in-One Sponsor, Anacapa Financial LLC Anacapa Financial

A family reunited. Debt paid off. Jobs secured. A future rebuilt.

Carlos and Maryann’s journey began at Rescue Mission Alliance, where they committed to rebuilding their lives through recovery, biblical counseling, and faith. After completing the program, they continued their journey at The City Center, where they reunited their family, paid off $16,000 in debt, secured employment, and created a brighter future for their sons.

Now, they’re walking across the stage together as graduates.

We’re honored to celebrate their graduation and the incredible journey it represents. ❤️

Meet Maria Luna, Case Manager at The City Center.

More than twenty years ago, Maria answered a calling to help people find hope in difficult seasons of life. After finding healing, restoration, and a renewed sense of purpose, she dedicated her life to helping others do the same.

Today, she walks alongside residents as they work toward stability, independence, and a brighter future. Her compassion, faith, and genuine understanding help residents see that their past does not have to define their future.

We’re grateful for the impact Maria continues to make every day at The City Center.

Full circle moment with Pastor Jim 🙌 A former resident of our transitional living program walked out debt-free, with $42,000 saved, a car, and a career. Today she works as a social worker, helping others find their way back, just like she did 🙏

Carlos and Maryann’s story started in the Rescue Mission Alliance recovery programs. Apart from each other and their two young sons, they committed to changing their lives. Through biblical counseling, addiction recovery, and the support of staff who walked alongside them, they both completed the program. On September 29, they’ll walk across the stage together as graduates.

Now, their family is together at the City Center with their sons, Isaac and Mateo. They’re both working, their boys are in daycare, and they’ve paid off $16,000 in debt through a financial program. After everything they’ve been through, Carlos and Maryann are building something they fought hard for, getting back to a normal family life.

The kids are our why. ❤️

One of the greatest blessings at The City Center is providing a safe place where children can simply be kids.

Here, they build lifelong friendships, create lasting memories, and grow alongside other families on the same journey.

Every day, they get to see their parents putting in the work to build a brighter future, and that’s a powerful thing to witness.

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do
🙏🤍🙌
