A large storm cells is moving across the Simi Valley/ Moorpark area! Watch out for slick roads, localized flooding and possibly hail!

We have another relatively strong front pushing through! Watch out for slick roads during the first few mins of the storm! Rainfall may be strong at times with a small chance of hail and or a t-storm!

Major flooding on Olivas Park Dr near Ventura Auto Center up to two feet standing water across most of road!

Major flooding at the JohnsonDr/101 underpass! Had to turnaround! Car already stuck in the water there!

We have a flash flood warning for the Santa Barbara to Carpinteria region! Be careful on the 101 north of Ventura!

Wow look at that well developed front! It's moving fast and is very strong! This is only the beginning! This front is producing about 1" a hour along with some serious high winds!

Well here is the latest radar update as of 7:48! Get ready for some wild weather! The front is beginning to push through the San Luis Obispo region!
We are expecting the rain in Ventura County earlier now starting at 2am! More updates to come!

Greetings from Hernandez Weather North!

We are observing the first wave of the so called "Pineapple Express" here in San Luis Obispo County. Check out this video from the top of Cuesta Ridge (2,500 ft) a few hours ago!

The center of this storm is currently sitting over the Bay Area, dumping rain and causing flooding in Sonoma and Siskiyou Counties at this hour... 93,100 Bay Area residents are currently without power...

We will continue to keep you updated throughout the day. Expect rainfall to start in the San Luis Obispo region around 2 p.m, moving south into the night. 6-8 hours of heavy rain expected in areas.

Well today is the the day! Big storm coming tonight! Showers will begin early around 4-5pm and the mass of the storm will hit early Friday morning at around 4am! High winds are very very likely so watch out for flying debris! Thunderstorms are also very likely as well so keep an eye out for a light show! Rainfall rates are predicted to be 1in an hour at times! This is a dangerous storm so keep updated with Hernandez Weather!

Here are the impressive rainfall totals courtesy of the NWS! Remember this was from yesterday's storm only! Nordhoff Ridge above Ojai measured almost five inches!
