National Charity League Juniors of Ventura County Women's philanthropic org raising funds for the Children's Center for Cancer & Blood Diseases at VCMC

For the 16th year, NCL Juniors of Ventura County is supporting the Children's Cancer and Blood Diseases Program at the Ventura County Medical Center. Since our involvement, our group has been instrumental in providing the unit with over $1,900,000. It is our sole annual task to raise funds for this program, and thus far, we are the only group providing them with fundraising support. The Children's

Cancer and Blood Diseases Program is a partnership between the Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases, Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHOLA) and the Ventura County Medical Center (VCMC). The goal of this program is to fill a vital need of providing pediatric hematology and oncology inpatient services locally in Ventura County. Prior to its inception, children would have to travel into Los Angeles for treatment. This casued an addtional hardship, not just on the sick child, but on their family who would have to burden the cost of travel and time off of work. Studies show, children with life threatening diseases have a far better chance of recovery and/or remission when cared for close to home. Together with the community's help, the National Charity League Juniors of Ventura County is tirelessly working to "Bring Hope Closer to Home". What a truly emotional and beautiful evening. ✨💛

Last night, we had the incredible honor of presenting the final proceeds from our gala — made possible by our amazing sponsors, donors, volunteers, and community — to the Healthcare Foundation for Ventura County, whose partnership helps support both the Children’s Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases and the Ronald McDonald Family Room Ventura at Ventura County Medical Center.❤️

With full hearts, we are beyond grateful to share that together, we raised $100,000 to help support children and families facing some of life’s most difficult battles.

Behind every dollar raised is a child receiving care, a family finding comfort during long hospital days, and a reminder that no one has to walk these journeys alone. Seeing our community come together with such generosity, compassion, and love was incredibly moving, and it’s a beautiful reflection of what can happen when people unite for a purpose greater than themselves.

To every sponsor, donor, volunteer, attendee, and supporter — thank you. ❤️🥰 Your kindness is making a real and lasting difference in the lives of local children and families. From months of planning, late nights, and countless moving pieces… to the final touches that made the night feel seamless and unforgettable—this event was truly a labor of love.
