The next garden day at Loma Vista Elementary School will be THIS Saturday, October 10, from 9am - noon. It's still HOT! We will be checking on the plants to see how they made it through the latest heatwave and doing some light pruning to prep for our Big Pruning Day on November 7. Please bring gloves and pruners if you have them (we have a limited number to lend out).
The school is located at 300 Lynn Drive in Ventura - the garden is in front of the school. Sorry, there are NO BATHROOM FACILITIES. Contact Laura at [email protected] for more information. If you want to join us, please sign up through the Surfrider Events Calendar:

If you can't make it in October, we try to meet consistently at Loma Vista on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the same time. However, our November workday will be on 11/7 so that we can coordinate with the school for a Big Pruning Day. If you want to know how to tame your native garden for the season, we can show you how! We also do outreach to the public through presentations on OFG. If you know of any opportunities for outreach, please let me know.
