The 2026 Earth Day theme—“Our Power. Our Planet.”—is an uplifting reminder of what’s possible when people come together with a shared commitment to care for our environment. It reflects the energy, optimism, and collective action happening in communities around the world.

That spirit is reflected in efforts like Intel volunteers, pictured, participating in a service project in India—giving their time, working together, and making a meaningful impact on the communities they serve.

Earth Day is a reminder that each of us can make a difference—and that when we come together, those individual efforts grow into real, lasting impact for our planet.

If you’d like to take action, please join us for a "virtual team clean up" this week in your own neighborhood (send us a note or a photo of your clean up and let us know how it went)! You’re also invited to join the Ripple Effect—our community of monthly givers committed to protecting and providing clean water for the future.

Happy Earth Day!

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, millions of people still lack access to safe, reliable drinking water—this leads to preventable disease, keeping children, especially girls out of school, and placing a daily burden on already vulnerable families.

But together, we’re changing that!

Through a partnership between CLEAN International, Quest Water Global and a community of givers, a new AquaTap Water Kiosk was launched in March 2026—bringing clean, accessible water closer to home. This is more than infrastructure—it’s improved health, expanded opportunity, and a better quality of life for the families it serves.

Your support is making this impact possible. Let's provide more water kiosks to communities in need! Join us today at https://cleaninternational.org/the-ripple-effect/. Check out the video to see your impact at: https://youtu.be/OAJtSjxQ3KQ.

March is our Make a Move for Water Event - and around the world, that movement is coming to life in powerful ways! Thank you to everyone taking action!

Making a Move for Water looks different for everyone. For some, it’s logging miles to represent the long walk for water that millions take each day. For others, it’s organizing cleanups to protect local waterways. And for many, it’s raising funds to help ensure that everyone, everywhere has access to safe water.

Together, these actions create something bigger—a global movement rooted in action, awareness, and impact.

At the center of this month is the United Nation's World Water Day (March 22), https://www.un.org/en/observances/water-day, an international day that highlights a critical reality: 2.2 billion people still lack access to safely managed drinking water.

This year’s theme, “Water and Gender,” reminds us that the burden is not shared equally. Around the world, women and girls are most affected—often spending hours each day collecting water, limiting time for school, work, and opportunity.

To everyone who is making a move—thank you! You are helping turn awareness into action and creating real change. If you have not joined the movement, now is a great time to sign up at https://cleaninternational.org/makeamove/.

💧 $25 provides one person with water for life. This World Water Day let's collectively take action to support more people with clean water!

We are so excited for the first week of Make a Move for Water 2026! It's a global call to action to raise awareness and funds for communities around the world who lack access to clean water.

Today, 1 in 4 people — more than 2.1 billion individuals — still lack access to safely managed drinking water. Millions must walk miles each day just to collect water that may be unsafe, and nearly two-thirds of the world’s population experiences severe water scarcity at least one month each year. These challenges affect health, education and opportunity.

Throughout the month of March — in honor of World Water Day on March 22 — we invite you to join the global movement to make a move for water in ways that resonate with you and your community:

🏃‍♀️ Log miles to honor those who walk for water daily.
🌊 Pick up trash along waterways to protect our shared water resources.
💧 Raise funds to help bring clean water access where it’s needed most.

Make a pledge, create a team, make a donation and more on our Make a Move for Water page today https://cleaninternational.org/makeamove/!

Whether you’re walking around your workplace, cleaning up in your neighborhood, or rallying colleagues and friends — every step and every action helps turn awareness into impact.

Thank you for joining this movement! Together, with teams like the Amber's Light Lions Club of California (pictured), we can make meaningful strides toward a world where safe accessible water is a reality for all!

As the year comes to a close, we want to thank you!

Because of you, water is reaching places where it once was dry. Families are healthier. Children can learn. Crops grow, livelihoods stabilize, and communities begin to thrive. Access to clean water doesn’t just meet a need—it unlocks opportunity and restores hope.

Your support transforms water into life—sustaining people, protecting ecosystems, and creating change that lasts far beyond a single moment or place. Water brings growth and we have seen that in the lives and communities impacted through your generosity!

In 2026, CLEAN International celebrates 10 years of impact. As we look ahead, our vision is bold: to reach 10 million people with clean water and save 10 billion gallons of water. It’s a future shaped by collective action—and made possible because of you.

Thank you for standing with us. We are deeply grateful for your partnership and inspired by what we can achieve together. Let's do this!

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a hopeful New Year!

In 2024, CLEAN International, in partnership with our community of donors, 1 Love and Engineers Without Borders, successfully installed a community well in Ormelili, Tanzania—bringing reliable, clean water to the village for the first time.

Today, families in Ormelili no longer have to walk hours to unsafe water sources. The new well provides consistent access to water for household use, crops, and livestock, helping restore food security and livelihoods across the community.

For women and girls—who previously carried the burden of long daily walks for water—the well has helped free up time for school, work, and family. Farmers can now irrigate crops, care for animals, and plan for the future with greater stability and resilience.

This project stands as a powerful example of how sustainable water solutions can improve lives and opportunities. Special thanks to the many supporters who helped make this possible!
