From weeding out invasive plants🪾to planting new native ones🌸, Farm Day was a success! Our 12 volunteers (kiddos included!🧒🏽👧🏽👦🏽) helped fill almost 8 large containers full of invasive weeds! We also planted a total of 16 native plants, as well as 1 native tree in our food forest. Thanks to for the native plant donation!

Help us increase food access by repackaging almonds into smaller, family sized bags on April 18th from 10am to 12pm.

Repackaging the almonds will help us ensure that everyone in the community can have a manageable amount of almonds! will be distributing these bags to local residents in the ongoing fight against the food apartheid created in Saticoy.

At this volunteer event we will repackage large 50lbs bags of almonds that we got from into smaller 5lbs bags! We will train and instruct volunteers on how to repackage the almonds in a food safe manner day of.

Please join us this coming Friday the 13th at King and King Ranch as we assist them in maintaining their native hedgerows for wildfire resiliency, in preparation for the coming year of the Fire Horse 🐴 🔥and to show love to the Earth for Valentines day! 🥑🍊❤️‍🔥

King and King is a 4th generation avocado and citrus ranch practicing organic ways of growing located in beautiful , CA. 🍋

As part of Saticoy Food Hub’s on-farm support for Organic Certification implementation and maintenance, we’ll be assisting with hedgerow care, an important practice that supports both ecological health and organic compliance. The hedgerow features Willow trees and other wildfire resistant native plants which serve to protect the adjacent farmlands.

We will be:
✂️Pruning and removing dead branches from the willow trees
🪵Removing flammable and dry brush from the ground to decrease the amount of fuel that wildfires use to spread rapidly.
🪻🐞increasing the native, on-farm biodiversity!

This is a great opportunity to spend time on a beautiful farm and give some love back to the Earth and our farmers. No farming experience required, just love and the inclination to do some honest work!

WE GOT A TRUCK!!! 🚚🎉

Huge shoutout to for helping us bring this box truck home. This beauty means we can officially level up as a food hub and move more local, organic, and regeneratively grown food to our community.

With this truck, we can now deliver across Ventura County and beyond — to schools, hospitals, restaurants, retail shops, food pantries, group homes, and community spaces. If you run a kitchen (or know someone who does 👀), let’s talk!
