This year’s PFLAG Votes campaign—Turning Pride Into Power—will include the resources you’ve come to rely on from PFLAG National, including a specialized Vote411 landing page, one-pagers with voting information by state, slide decks with voting information for your chapter meetings, and virtual meetings and training sessions all along the way. We’re also excited to share new resources and opportunities this year, expanding our reach and program to ensure we’re doing all we can to get out the vote for this year’s midterms.

The VC Reporter profiled how our chapter president, Mischa Haramia, turned her own transition journey into advocacy that strengthens families, supports youth, and builds a more inclusive Ventura County. It’s a reminder that Pride isn’t just an event, it’s the ongoing work of showing up for one another.

“I came to the crossroads that I could either come out, stay where I was or I can take my life. And I didn’t want to stay where I was and I did not want to take my life. I wanted to go through, so I began that transition process,” said Mischa Haramia, who took a leadership role at PFLAG Ventura in April.
