A Sustainable Kitchen seeks to create dialogue and sharing of interdisciplinary strategies and ideas about sustainable solutions among groups and individuals from the U.S. Green Building Council (LEED), to designers, artists, farmers, chefs, community groups, the general public and everyone in between. A Sustainable Kitchen believes fun, accessible activities & eve

nts focused on sustainability can inspire positive change. With food as a starting point, activities include demonstrations highlighting sustainable food practices, farmers, farmers markets and simple everyday strategies for sustainability. These demos are free or low-cost, open to the public and include delicious food samples and recipes. A Sustainable Kitchen was founded by Annette Eason, principal of EasonDesignGroup, a sustainably focused design collaborative in Venice, CA. She is also a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor, a sustainable food advocate and a former chef.

Feeling good about that compostable cup you bought your juice in? It's very unlikely it is actually getting composted. Sorry
