MUSIC ON THE CANALS


On Saturday, August 13, starting at sunset, the captain of SPIRIT and her crew will be cruising the canals and serenading you with Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro. Please join us with your boats, follow us on land, or listen from your balconies!

We will be commencing from 224 Sherman Canal.

See you then!

Dear VCA Members,

The holidays are just around the corner and the Venice Canals Association (VCA) Board has come to the difficult decision that it won’t be possible for us to hold our Holiday Boat Parade or Best Dressed Homes and Bridges Contest this year.

Both events create large gatherings which are not permitted under the LA Covid-19 regulations.

The Board feels it is important we be consistent with Covid-19 policy, especially given that the pandemic continues to be spreading.

We can hardly wait to resume our events in 2021 just as soon as it’s safe!
We hope that you are all doing well during these difficult and unprecedented times!

Dear VCA Members,
Because Halloween is just around the corner, we wanted to let you know that the Venice Canals Association (VCA) will not be able to have our Canalloween event this year. The City still has Linnie Canal Park closed under Covid-19 regulations and there is still a prohibition against large gatherings.
We look forward to resuming our event schedule as soon as it’s safe. We hope that you are all doing well and staying safe during these unprecedented times!

Tonight at 8pm the neighborhood will be stepping out and start a rousing round of applause for our Amazing Medical Community which we don't deserve. Please feel free to join in! Their dedication is unfathomable. We stay home gladly so we don't burden them, our sacrifice is small, we are trying to do more to help. This is a worldwide effort of gratitude that we want to bring to the Canals.

Here in the Canals we have Carol's daughter and son in Law, Luci and Patrick that are bravely serving on the front line. Debra and David Blocker's daughter Deena is also serving on the front line as a nurse here in Los Angeles. We're so grateful to them, a round of applause is the least we can do.

Hope to hear you tonight at 8pm. Please spread the word. If you guys need anything please let us know, we all have to pull together.
