We are thrilled to share that another chair is ready for its new owner! Right now, this amazing young person only has a stroller-style chair, which means they can’t move on their own without someone pushing. That’s about to change. Soon, they’ll have the freedom to move independently—anytime they want.

We also want to give a heartfelt thank you to two incredible supporters who donated a metal saw, allowing us to cut and prepare the parts needed for the axle locks. Their generosity made this possible, and because of them, this young person’s life is about to be transformed.

These donors prefer to stay out of the spotlight, but we hope they’ll comment so everyone can see the difference they’ve helped make. We are so grateful for your support in helping us give kids the freedom they deserve.

CAF’s 2026 Annual Grant Program will open for applications on October 1 and close on November 14. This year’s application window is only six weeks, so starting early will give you the best chance to submit a complete application. Take a moment to mark your calendar and begin gathering your financial documents from 2023 and 2024!

The program supports athletes with physical disabilities by providing funding for adaptive sports equipment, training, competition expenses, and more.

We’ll share important updates in the coming weeks about changes to the process, eligibility, and documentation requirements — along with tips to help you prepare.
