The Twig Mission: To encourage and inspire foster families by meeting their needs. Core Value: Blessed to be a blessing. These are the children we serve.

Vision: To provide a haven for the foster care community where needs are met, hearts are encouraged and God's love is shown in a practical way. On any given day, there are over 400,000 children in the foster care system in the United States. These children have been removed from their homes because of abuse, abandonment, or neglect and have been placed into foster homes, kinship care, or non-relative placements. These children go to our schools, attend our churches, and play on our playgrounds. Many of these children come into the system with very little in their possession. They are expected to wake up tomorrow as if nothing has changed, while their lives have been been turned upside down. At the Twig, we want to encourage these children and inspire them to be all they can be.

Our Turkey Trot is coming up next month! As part of the event, we are doing a collection drive for new underwear and socks for children in foster care!

How many do you think we can collect?!?

New packages of socks and underwear can be dropped off during our Packet Pickup at The Twig on Thursday, November 19th or at The Twig's tent in our Race Village at Legacy Park on Saturday, November 21st!

We are so excited about our 8th annual Turkey Trot for The Twig happening on the 21st of November at Legacy Trail Park! But we need some volunteers to help us with this event!

Volunteer spots for this family friendly event are open to all of our supporters! You do NOT need to be one of our regular Twig volunteers to participate.

We love it when organizations, churches, businesses, and clubs host collections of new items for The Twig. It's also wonderful when we see individuals, neighborhoods, and families hosting parties and collecting new items for our kids.

A lot of requests have been coming in for "The Twig's Christmas Wishes"...

So here it is!
