The TC Open Charitable Foundation was started with the simple concept of giving back. From there it has grown into an organization that has donated nearly $250,000 to various charities including most recently Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Fisher House of Pittsburgh and the Semper Fi Fund Kids Camp. In 1996, college students Chris Prado and Tom Pirosko, both originally from McMurray, PA and graduates
of Peters Township High School decided to start a golf outing as a way to raise money for the Homeless Shelter of Pittsburgh. After two years the TC Open switched directions and started a long partnership with Make-A-Wish Foundation of Pittsburgh which it has been working with ever since. The TC Open has recently become a registered 501(c)3 organization and is named The TC Open Charitable Foundation. In addition to the golf outing held annually in Pittsburgh, there are several additional events each year including a golf outing in Cleveland, OH and a sporting clays event in the Laurel Highlands. And new for 2013, the TC Open Charitable Foundation is hosting a music concert event in the Pittsburgh area. The foundation is always focused on helping children, but in recent years has put an emphasis on helping the children of our military. As Americans we are fortunate that so many men and women make the decision to defend the freedoms we enjoy every day. And with these freedoms, we want to give back to our military men and women by supporting their children. That is why the TC Open Charitable Foundation is dedicated to helping those children facing various challenges as a result of their parents accepting the challenge to protect America. While TC Open Charitable Foundation continues to grow we have always understood that it is because of the great support we receive from our sponsors and supporters that allows us to continue to expand our outreach. Thank you to all and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
