We actually caught it all on our security cameras.
Apparently, they just wanted to stop by and say hello

We wrapped up our 2026 house builds last week! Thank you to all the churches who raised extra funds to bless these families.

This year, 13 families received a new home. We are so grateful for a generous donor who provided a grant making it possible for teams to build a home for just $3000.

Funding is still available for 2027! More teams will have the opportunity to build homes and bring hope to families in need.

Another incredible weekend with our pastoral cohort!

It has been amazing to see the encouragement, growth, and relationships that have come from these past two years. As we approach the end of our two-year commitment, the pastors are already asking, “What’s next?”

What a privilege to walk alongside these pastors and invest in the leaders God has called to serve His people. We’re excited to see what God has in store for the next chapter!

For the past few years, we’ve started a special tradition with all of our employees…a special day just for them.

From January through August, we collect all of the tip money and divide it among our 35 employees. Then we put out all the generous donations that have been given throughout the year and let each employee take a turn choosing a few things they would enjoy.

And let me tell you… suitcases are always a hot commodity!

By the end, the bags were full, and more importantly, our employees felt loved, valued, and blessed.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated clothes, suitcases, school supplies, and so much more.

What a way to finish the summer!

For the past several years, Mission 2535 has had the privilege of hosting a carnival for the special needs children in our community. We’re so thankful for the short-term teams who served alongside us this week and helped make this special day possible.

What a powerful week of serving and sharing the love of Jesus!

Three churches were blessed as the group help provided backpacks to children before the school year. Also, in the heart of Villa Tapia, 400 adults and children gathered for a free block party carnival filled with joy, laughter, and community.

We’re grateful for every volunteer who gave their time, every life that was touched, and every opportunity God gives us to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

We were grateful to have one of our board members share the Sunday evening devotional, encouraging our teams as they served throughout the week.

Another home was completed, bringing our total to 4 houses built this summer, with 2 more to go!

Most importantly, we had the privilege of loving our ministry partners and celebrating as lives were changed through the hope of the Gospel. There’s nothing greater than seeing people come to know Christ!

Last week was the first time a team couldn’t make it to serve after two weather delays, Saturday and then later on Tuesday.

But God still moved powerfully. Fourteen people from another church stepped up and helped build a church—a reminder that nothing can stop His plans. He is faithful and works through those willing to say “yes.”

Each week, Rick, Jon and Keilah faithfully share a devotional, encouraging and challenging our teams in God’s Word.

Last week a team held a basketball camp that gave teen boys the opportunity to hear the Gospel, and several made the life-changing decision to receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

We also had an incredible group of young people serving with joy as they poured concrete at Community of Hope.

Last week, many people served by doing manual labor, laying sod, moving dirt, and helping prepare our property. We are so grateful for everyone who gave their time and energy to serve.
What continues to amaze us every week is how God uses ordinary people who are simply willing to share their testimony. Through their faithfulness, lives are being transformed as people place their faith in Jesus Christ.
Whether serving with your hands or sharing the hope of the gospel, every act of obedience matters.
