This is (one of) the most difficult jobs that you will have at the fair. Because of how excited you are to finish off the job. ie: getting rid of the car for the weekend. This action releases you into the energy for your fair!!
* two hands on the wheel, eyes on the road, put your patient Hat on.
BEING PATIENT when you are the driver of a moving vehicle at the fair, is THE MOST IMPORTANT ATTITUDE YOU CAN ADOPT.
I will repeat it because it is so important: zBEING PATIENTz
What's the attitude that you need when you're driving at the fair?

Now you're ready. You pull out of your temporary parking spot, *looking both ways, Smile and wave as you drive on the road to Outasight. Right now there's plenty of space and you have no problems, radios on, waving at traffic crew, and then the cars lined up and you're in traffic. But your patient, so you sit and you wait. That is what patient people do. And because you're an extra special fairy and you are a symbol of gratitude and graciousness-you smile.
Let me point to the right at the person who forgot their patient hat-they are driving across the grass and cutting in line...
* and that's okay because we are patient.
The line moves slowly, you leave space in front of you, a full car length or two car lengths-at this fair people would not cut in front of you... But be prepared at another event somebody might find not as an opportunity to move up a car space. It actually was not their opportunity, it was your safety and courtesy: but we give it to them with a smile because we are patient.
Developing this type of courteous attitude, is key to Defensive driving.
