Brickyard to Brickyard At that time, Veedersburg had a thriving brickyard that shipped pavers by rail to Indianapolis.

In 1909 The Wabash Clay Company of Veedersburg was contracted by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) to provide the bricks for what was to become the famous Indy Brickyard 500. With this significant connection to The Indy 500 Race, Veedersburg is participating in the Back Home Again in Indiana contest sponsored by the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
