Shhhhhhhhh.......life is quite busy enough at the moment.
A breather is good for the soul, and necessary.

On May 1, this girl was visiting her grandpawrents in the Twanoah Falls area of Mason County, and something spooked her, causing the leash to snap. Away she ran. The family put up posters and notified neighbors. Even called out a drone, who at the time couldn't find her due to conditions. There were reported sightings as far as Mason Lake and then she was spotted just about a 1/4 mile away in a field. A food station was set up, and she was interested, but still very scared. We set the trap, and were able to get this girl safely contained and back to her family! 14 days on the run! Everybody sleeps well now.

6 recoveries in April, each one takes time and patience. This couldn't happen without the assistance of the wonderful community who are often the eyes and ears, and sometimes the boots on the ground.
Thank you!

Current project;
Recently adopted, the adopter kept her on leash for a few days, then let her go, and she will not come back inside. She does, however stay on the property and luckily does not wander far. However, after a month, the adopter is getting ready to travel and she needs to be safe. He has tried everything to catch her, as well as some non conventional ways, and she lacks trust.
Stay tuned..This is definately a work in progress.

5/7 with assistance from the owner, safely recovered.

Recovered! This girl is safe.
Lost in the Union area, of Mason County.

Please keep an eye out for this unknown stray dog who was running for over a week near Benson Lake, then decided to call an Air BNB her new home (heck the people were nice).

She was caught and a wonderful human stepped forward for her until a plan could be made, but when he set the car alarm, the beep sent her into a frenzy and she escaped.

Now she is running in what we assume an unknown area to her.

Last seen near E Hyland Drive and Mcreavy Rd

4/23 - possible sighting Mcreavy and Union - am
4/24 - possible sighting Alderbrook Ridge Rd 11am heading toward Manzanita

We are setting up a feeding station
4/26 - she came back to feed station, we will be placing a trap soon!

This trapping was a little heartbreaking. Owner (let's call her Cindy) has to rehome their Australian Shepherd due to life changing circumstances. Stella isn't current on anything OR spayed, but Cindy feels she is homing her to the perfect situation. Cindy decides to meet uhhm Chad 1/2 way, rather than doing an actual home check.... Stella is put into Chad's father's backyard, where she abruptly bolts through the inadequate fence and chases the then leaving owner down the street, (during a hail storm). Neighbors try to assist this situation, but it seemingly just gets worse. Cindy shows up 2x before the moving van is scheduled and tries to get Stella, Cindy is out of time. Stella is now in survival mode, and not coming to anybody. Chad bails out. Now Stella is abandoned in a place she doesnt know, with humans that she has never interacted with. Stella circles the location where she was lost.
We come out with a trap, but Stella is not having it. We decide to put some higher value food in the trap and finally, somewhere around 2am, Stella is safe!
We can say, sometimes it takes the universe to come together for these critters.
I am SO thankful for like minded people willing to jump in and help at a moments notice. Of course, I must mention Sean Whittemore who stayed home to take care of our crew.
