The flock migrated East on M38 to The Rock Shop . Charlotte may know rocks but she sure doesn’t know what flamingos eat., She tried to feed a rock to one of the flamingos. 😁

Natural Distractions is much more than a rock shop. They carry a lot of unique items from local artists. If you haven’t visited yet do so. They are located at 4591 W Saginaw Rd, Vassar.

It is time to start collecting returnable cans and bottles. Woman’s Life #857 has a new project. Positive Alternative will receive the funds from our new drive. We will also be holding a “Blast From The Past” on October 17, 2026 at the Eagles. More details to follow on the dance. Mark your calendars.

Tonight we presented checks totaling $2,100 to the fine arts departments at Vassar School. Accepting the checks were Mandy Shepard of the choir program and Sarah Piazza of the art department. Unable to attend was the band director. With the funds the departments will be able to purchase items needed to ease the burden put on the teachers due to recent budget cuts.
We wish to thank everyone who contributed cans to our drive to make this possible.

We are so thankful and beyond blessed by our community to have raised the funds for our shoulder light mounts for our local police department! 🚓 🚨

Woman's Life Insurance Society has sponsored our fundraising with a 💲💲💲 match and we are happy to announce that we CRUSHED our can goal with your help!

We are excited to have been able to present these shoulder mounts to the Vassar Police Department, and hope they keep our service members safe on duty. 🙏

💜 Thank you for all of the support and we are working on another amazing community CAN project too, so keep saving those returnables and get a hold of our gal, Cheryl O'Mara-Deike to do pickups. 💜

Congratulations to not just one, but THREE Vassar High School Seniors!

Charlotte “Charlie” Gamet, was presented with a $500.00 Scholarship from Woman’s Life Vassar # 857.
Charlie will be attending Grand Valley University in the fall majoring in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. She will be entering college as a second semester sophomore.

Also receiving scholarships are Madisyn Philo.
Maddie will be a senior at University of Michigan, Flint. She will have a master in Library Science with a bachelors in English.

Our third recipient is Allison Anglin.
Allie is in the Master’s program at Grand Valley State University. She will obtain a masters in Occupational Therapy.

💜 Woman’s Life is starting a NEW CAN DRIVE project! 💜

We will be collecting returnable cans and bottles to support the school fine arts programs. Specifically, we will purchase items for the choir, band, and art classes. 🎶🎨🎭👩‍🎨

With the budget cuts there are item that are needed and we want to help ease the burden on our teachers.🙏👩‍🏫
