Everyone knows we don’t make these types of post and I truly apologize but we need to clear the air and clarify a few things.
Lets start off by saying:
Nobody knows exactly what happened but the rescue and the foster as we were the ones there. ALSO nobody seems to care to ASK what happened from US the other side /Rosie's legal owners. But oh well people will always think what they want.
Moving forward..... We opted to remove Rosie from fosters home after visiting her home to meet with her about the plan the find/get Rosie back. Several things: there was NOT a fenced area for just Rosie like foster had stated many times; even yesterday multiple times, there was tons of stuff piled around yard that she could get severely hurt on. If our dogs can't get hurt WE DON'T CARE HOW YOU LIVE WITHIN REASON! But she stated yesterday she let Rosie roam her property around all these potential hazards.., she then stated yesterday that she put Rosie in a TINY goat pen and moved goats out sometimes. NOT OK with us at all.. So her getting out was NOT the biggest issue yesterday. And even after talking about this we wanted to talk to foster and give her another chance.. until she started screaming at us and cussing everyone she talked to on the phone, then the fb witch hunt.. its in messages we wanted to talk once she calmed down..
Also 2 days prior the rescue had discussed moving her anyways since it had been awhile since any talk of them adopting her, we can't leave adoptable dogs just sitting in foster forever. Yes, we didn't follow our typical protocol with this foster because a fellow rescuer vouched for this person. BIG mistake on our part for not following our protocol.
We never said the foster didn't love her nor look after her. Another issue was we have in messages she didn't feel she needed to let us know Rosie was missing because she is her dog even though she hadn't officially adopted her.. money wasn’t the issue, it was signing the actual contract; not true she was her foster.. we had a fostering contract with the foster we need to know if any of our dogs go missing. Ever.
ALSO Rosie IS fully vetted and was at time of leaving shelter. We gave hw prevention to foster at the shelter that day, for 4 months. She was provided things for Rosie, crate, , collar, leash, 2 large bags of food, ect. She was told when she was close to running out of food to let me know and she told me not to worry about it. We have also ordered deworming meds for foster for Rosie when she needed it . Rosie was checked on multiple times while with her foster unlike what is being said by others during the 5.5 months she was with her (Sept 2-Feb 15)
Now people can say what they want but she is our dog.. Now Rosie is safe and back with us. The rescue whom owns her and pulled her. And did what we feel was best for our dog
Again, we apologize for having to make this post.
