Not every cat can thrive in a busy shelter environment… but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve a chance. 🐾
Right now, we have three cats who are really struggling in our cat room:
Megan (piebald tabby, female) & Shane (primary white tuxedo, male) – These two are the most reserved in the cat room. The shelter has been a scary, overstimulating place for them, and they tend to keep to themselves. They’re not showing their true personalities here—but that’s often the case with cats who just need a quiet, patient home to feel safe.
Harbor – He’s the kind of cat who is more ornamental, pretty to look at with minimal attention necessary… and always on his terms. Harbor will seek you out when he’s ready and enjoys affection, but he’s not a fan of constant activity or being overwhelmed. He just needs someone who understands that love looks a little different for him.
Cats like these are so often overlooked. Not because they aren’t good cats—but because they aren’t able to shine in this environment and when folks come to visit, they tend to avoid the company & that puts other kitties at the forefront for adoption.
What they need is simple:
✨ A calm home
✨ A patient human
✨ Time to decompress and feel safe
We truly believe that in the right environment, they will come out of their shells and become wonderful companions.
If you’ve ever had a shy or independent cat before, you know how special that bond can be. It just takes time. 🤍
If you’re interested in giving Megan, Shane, or Harbor a chance, or even fostering to help them decompress, please reach out to us.
The shelter is open Saturday, April 18th from 10am to 12pm if you would like to meet any of these cats & more.
They are fully vetted & spayed/neutered, just waiting on your application. 🫶🏼✨ Let’s help them find the peace they’ve been missing!
