🌾 Happy Monday, Market friends! 🌾

If you’re a vendor, creator, baker, gardener, or just someone who loves being part of local events, drop a comment with what you sell or where you like to market at, so we can keep building the list!

We’ve got some great people already lined up for our fall events and will be having another meeting coming up mid-month.

We’d love to make sure everyone gets a little extra love on our off-season.. Tell me what you bring, make, grow, or sell— or tag someone who should be here.

Let’s make our next market a good one. ❤️

The most powerful thing you can do for nature this spring?

Pick one corner of your yard.

Then… leave it alone.

No mowing.
No spraying.
No constant “tidying.”

Just let it be.

YEAR ONE
→ “Weeds” appear (some are native wildflowers)
→ Grasses grow taller
→ Insects begin to arrive
→ It may look a little messy

YEAR TWO
→ Wild plants start to establish
→ Native bees may nest in the ground
→ Birds begin foraging there
→ Small wildlife (like toads) may move in
→ It starts to feel alive

YEAR THREE
→ Taller plants create shelter and nesting spots
→ More butterflies and pollinators show up
→ You may notice new species you’ve never seen before
→ Biodiversity increases—often far beyond a typical lawn

HOW MUCH SPACE DO YOU NEED?
→ 4×4 feet is enough to start
→ 10×10 feet can become a true micro-habitat
→ A corner works—behind the garage, along a fence, under a tree

“But what about the neighbors?”

A perfectly trimmed lawn can look neat—but it supports very little life.

A small wild patch?
It becomes a living ecosystem.

A FEW IMPORTANT NOTES

1️⃣ Some “weeds” are beneficial natives—but others may be invasive
→ Remove aggressive or harmful species when needed

2️⃣ This isn’t zero effort
→ It’s less work, not no work

3️⃣ Results vary by location
→ Wildlife may take time to find your space

The most meaningful conservation doesn’t require money.
Or expertise.
Or constant effort.

Sometimes, it simply means doing less.

In one small corner.

Starting today.

Because the hardest part isn’t the work—
it’s letting go of the idea that nature needs our permission to exist.
