Fort Vancouver Knitters Guild

Fort Vancouver Knitters Guild Fort Vancouver Knitters Guild (FVKG) is a nonprofit organization formed in 1989; affiliated with The Knitting Guild Association (TKGA). We welcome new members.

Monthly meetings: first Thursdays, 6 p.m. at the Barberton Grange, 9400 NE 72nd Ave, Vancouver WA 98665 There are two primary purposes for our guild.
1. To serve the community through education and services provided by the members and through donations of articles made by members.
2. To expand the skills and knowledge of its members by means of programs held at membership meetings and by hosting c

lasses and workshops. Our meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month from 6:45-8:30pm
Guests may attend up to three meetings a year. Our meetings are currently on Zoom with members receiving an email with a link prior to the meeting. We plan on having in-person events during the summer months. Stay tuned.

I know.....last minute posting.

Ever thought of entering a knitted item into the WA State Fair in Puyallup WA? Online entry registration is so very very easy!
"(WED., AUG. 19) ONLINE ENTRY REGISTRATION DUE by 10pm for Handcrafts"

I will be delivering my entry this Friday, August 21. I can deliver your item also & then pick up your item at the end of the Fair on September 29.

If you'd like to enter a knitted item, please either tag my name here so I'll see your post indicating interest or PM me. I can send you "WA State Fair Links" so you'll bypass endless "click searching" and be able to register your item faster and easier.

I plan to attend the Fair on Monday, September 14, the day of the 1 p.m. DIV 105, Class 3738 "Fastest Fingers in the West Contest". The Fair provides the Size 8 needles and Cascade Yarn.

Register "Online by 10 pm the day before the contest (see page 4 of Creative Arts Competition Guide for instructions) or at the Creative Arts Dept. Up to 1/2 hour before contest time."

Want to join me at the Fair -- I'll start driving NB early that day (I still have room in my Subie Forester) or we can meet at the Fair. Buy your Fair entry tickets online (less than at the gate): Seniors 65+ : $13; Younger than 65: $15.
